Fort Morgan RV Park in Gulf Shores, AL, offers 31 full-hookup RV sites and 2 cabins, with 30 and 50-amp service and room for rigs up to 70 feet.
The five categories are all about the water: waterfront, bay view back-in, bay view pull-through, bay access back-in, and bay access pull-through. All carry water, sewer, and electric with site-delivered WiFi and a picnic table. The park is rated big rig friendly. One honest note the park makes itself: the beach here is a created beachy area on the bay side, not the Gulf — worth knowing before you arrive expecting surf. Laundry, a bathhouse with showers, a general store, a clubhouse, a dump station, golf cart rentals, kayak rentals, and boat storage cover the rest. Pets are welcome, with a dog park.
Boat docks, a fishing pier, a community fire pit, a playground, and walking trails fill the grounds, with boating, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, hiking, biking, and stargazing. Golf, a state park, and the Gulf beaches are nearby.
The park sits on Bon Secour Bay where Mobile Bay narrows toward the Gulf — a boutique waterfront property with little in common with the sprawling resorts in Gulf Shores proper.

FAQ About “The Beach”
- We are frequently asked about “the beach” and we do have a beachy area on the bay that we created.
- We are on the bay side of the water and not the Gulf.
- You can launch kayaks, small boats, etc from our launch pad.
- If you want access to Gulf beaches, they are just under two miles from our park with public access and ample parking.
Additional Vehicles
- We are frequently asked about second vehicle.
- We only allow one vehicle per site, but we do have overflow parking.
- Also, if you have a motorcycle and it fits safely on the site with your vehicle that is fine as well.
- We do have a limit on the number of pets.
- We welcome pets and pet owners that are well behaved and well cared for.

Do you have direct water access?
- Yes.
- Fort Morgan RV Resort has direct water access with several sites right on the water.
- In fact, one of the favourite activities of almost all guests is watching the sunset.
What’s the difference between your site types?
- Fort Morgan bases its site rates on location within the park like many other resorts.
- Our waterfront sites actually back up to the bay with a beautiful area behind your unit to gaze at the water, throw out a fishing line, or watch all of our native species.
- Our Bayview sites are in the center of the park and have easy access to the water and many have a view of the water as well.
- Our Bay Access sites are near the entry of the park.
- Some of these sites are pull thru for our “stop-over” guests and are large enough to stay hooked to your towed if you choose.
- All of our sites have their own features and benefits so if you have questions, let us know.
- Waterfront gets you as close to the water as possible, water view give you quick access, but also provides lots of shade with our beautiful trees and natural setting, and the Bay Access provides easy access to all parts of the part but also gives benefits of less wind, additional space for parking, access to sunshine for those with satellite or solar requirements, and convenience to the bath house.

What’s your minimum stay requirement?
- At Fort Morgan, we do not have a specific minimum requirement.
- The minimum stay is influenced by the calendar.
- Here are some tips for understanding our minimum stays.
- Weekdays: single night stays are welcome.
- Weekends: minimum of two nights required (Friday and Saturday).
- Holidays: longer stays may be necessary.
- Our online reservation system will indicate when you book if a longer stay is required.
- For those looking to escape the winter chill, and stay longer during our off peak season, we offer monthly rates from November to February.
- To get the monthly rate you must book for 30 days, but you do not have to stay the entire season.
- These reservations are taken by our staff and not online.
Do you offer seasonal or monthly rates?
- For those looking to escape the winter chill, we offer “snow-birding” sites from November to February.
- March to October we offer daily and weekly rates.

How many people can stay at one site?
- Our rates include two people per reservation.
- The maximum occupancy is determined by your RV unit’s sleeping capacity.
- For example, if your unit can comfortably sleep six individuals, then your maximum occupancy will be six.
- Please note that this includes actual sleeping spaces, not makeshift arrangements like pallets on the floor.
Where can I store my boat?
- Boat and trailer storage is available for a small fee for our vacationing guests.
- Limited storage is also available for our seasonal guests at monthly rates.
Can I arrive late?
- We allow arrivals based on the time of sunset for your safety and convenience.
- Please note that we do not permit parking after dark to ensure a secure and pleasant experience for all our guests.
Rules
Registration and Arrival
Check-In Procedure
- Check‑in: 2:00 PM.
- Check‑out: 11:00 AM.
- Early check-in or late check-out: $30 fee, when available.
- While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement.
RV Requirements Policy
- To ensure a high-quality experience for all guests, we require that all RVs be 15 years old or newer and meet the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) certification standards.
- RVs older than 15 years may be considered on a case-by-case basis and must be approved by park management prior to arrival.
- Please contact us with current photos and details of your RV for review.
- We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain the quality and appearance of our park.
RV & Campsite Standards
- No popups, hybrids, or truck camper shells.
- RVs must be clean, well-maintained, and RVIA-certified. (Call with questions.)
- Sites must remain tidy: no clutter, indoor furniture, appliances, digging, stakes, or attaching anything to trees. (Fine $500)
- No rugs/mats or parking on grass.
- Trash must be bagged and placed in the dumpster.
- RV washing requires a $25 permit.
- No cutting or altering landscaping.
- Remove items from lawn for maintenance.
Utilities
- Electric: use the correct plug; no 50-to-30 amp adapters.
- All of our sites have 30 and 50 amp.
- Sewer: no ground disposal of gray/black water. No grease.
- Septic: RV toilet paper only; no wipes, feminine products, garbage disposals, or grease.
- Freeze conditions: disconnect water unless using an approved heated hose.
- Damage fee minimum: $250.
Visitors
- Only registered guests may stay overnight.
- Day visitors: 2 per day at no charge; must stay with the registered guest.
- Overnight visitors: $5/person/night; max 6 people per site.
- All visitors must check in with ID and wear wristbands.
- Guests are responsible for visitor behavior.
Children Policy
- Parents must supervise children at all times.
- Under 13: life jacket required on pier; must be accompanied by an adult on pier, in water, when using amenities.
Vehicles & Speed
- One vehicle per site; no ATVs, UTVs, or dirt bikes.
- Boat/trailer/overflow car parking by fee & permit only.
- Speed limit: 5 mph.
Quiet Hours
- 9:00 PM – 9:00 AM.
- Park events may run later, but quiet hours still apply to guests.
Campfires
- Allowed only in designated fire pits with ash screens.
- No fires or grills on picnic tables.
- Fully extinguish before leaving.
- Note: from May 1st – November 1st we are under a no burn ban.
Mail & Packages
- No mail may be delivered to the park.
- Use: your name c/o General Delivery 2149 W 1st St Gulf Shores, AL 36542 – clearly addressed to you, and then you pick up your mail at the Gulf Shores Post Office.
Pet Policy
- Pets must be leashed (6 ft max) and supervised.
- No tethering without the owner present.
- Pick up waste; $100 fine for non-compliance.
- No pets in office, bathrooms, laundry, or play area (service animals exempt).
- Excessive barking or aggressive behavior may result in removal.
- Only dogs and cats allowed.
- Pets who do not come out of your RV are fine.
Laundry
- On‑site washers/dryers available (paid with card at machine or via Spyderwash app).
- No clotheslines or hanging items outside the RV.
Golf Carts
- Proof of liability insurance and signed waiver required.
- Drivers must be 16+ with a valid license.
- No minors operating carts.
- Stay on park roadways; no off-road use.
- No night driving without lights.
- Misuse results in loss of privileges.
Trash & Disposal
- Use the dumpster at 2nd St. & Shady Lane.
- Do not leave trash outside overnight.
- Large items (grills, mattresses, appliances, etc.) may not be disposed of in park dumpsters; fees are assessed for dumping such.
Alcohol, Smoking, and Drugs
- Alcohol only at campsites; no public intoxication.
- Smoking is prohibited in public buildings.
- Illegal drug activity results in immediate eviction.
- Medical marijuana must be used inside the RV with windows closed and a permit available.
Liability & Disclosures
- Guests use the park at their own risk.
- Fort Morgan RV Park is not responsible for theft, damage, accidents, weather events, or loss of property.
- Guests are responsible for their visitors and must carry appropriate insurance.
Generators
- We do not allow generators.

Campground Disclaimer
- We allow you to choose your favorite site, but we reserve the right to move or adjust the booking grid based on occupancy needs.
- There is a non-refundable service fee from our software provider, which caps at $15.00.
- There is a non-refundable service fee for reservations made by phone of $20, so booking online is the most affordable option.
- Refunds are not provided for nights missed due to late arrival or early departure.
- Falsely representing the number of people at Guest’s site or exceeding the number paid for is considered a serious violation.
- Guest may be subject to immediate removal from the park with no refund.
- The guest will be charged for visitors if found to be unregistered.
Cancellation Policy
STRICT
If the guest cancels at least 1 week before your check-in day and time, they will receive a 50% refund (minus Spot2Nite convenience or resort fees). If the guest cancels within 1 week before check-in, there will be no refund.
