Edson Lions Park Campground in Alberta offers 29 RV sites and eight tent sites just off the Yellowhead Highway, with 30 and 50-amp water-and-electric service and rigs accepted to 45 feet on a big-rig-friendly layout. Back-in categories at both amperages join a 30-amp pull-through tier, with a laundry, showers, firewood, and forested grounds.
Twenty-nine sites span back-in water-and-electric 30-amp, back-in water-and-electric 50-amp, and pull-thru water-and-electric 30-amp categories, carrying water and electric with site WiFi, sized to 45 feet, with fire pits. Plan around the hookups — sites carry water and electric but not sewer, so manage tank capacity and use the dump station. Eight tent sites round out the lodging. A laundry, dump station, restrooms, showers, and firewood handle the practical side.
The forested grounds are the setting, with planned activities through the season. The amenity set is deliberately practical, which is exactly right for a community campground built around a comfortable stopover rather than resort programming. Pets are welcome.
The Edson Lions Club operates the campground as a community facility, and that shows in how it is kept — clean, well maintained, and genuinely affordable in a way commercial properties on this corridor rarely match.
Edson sits on Highway 16 in the foothills country between Edmonton and Jasper National Park, which makes this one of the most useful stops on the drive west. Jasper's mountains, lakes, and icefields are roughly two hours on, with Edmonton about two hours east.
The Alberta season is short. Summer is peak, and Jasper-bound traffic fills the corridor from June through August. Reserve ahead for those months.

Check-In Procedure
- Check-In: 3:00 pm

- While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement.
Respect and Conduct
- Please respect other people's sites and do not walk through occupied sites.
- There will be no tolerance for loud music or parties at any time. It is quiet time from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am.
- Whoever is registered at a site will be responsible for the actions of their guests.
- Staff will not tolerate any kind of abuse from campers.
Fire and Waste Management
- Fires are to be in fire pits only. Fire pits are not to be moved within a site or removed from the site.
- Please make sure your fire is out before leaving it unattended.
- Please do not burn garbage! There is a dumpster by the hall and there are garbage cans outside both sets of washrooms.
- Please help in keeping our campground clean.
Alcohol and Substances
- Alcohol must remain at your campsite.
Vehicles and Campers
- There is to be only one vehicle parked at each campsite. All guests and extra vehicles are to be parked by the office.
- No vehicle repairs are to take place in the campground.
- Slide-in campers are to remain on vehicles while in the campground.
- Campers, trailers, and motorhomes 20 years or older are subject to approval.
- Campers, trailers, and motorhomes are to be registered and insured.
Pets
- All pets are to be leashed at all times while in the campground. Owners are responsible for cleanup after their pets.
Safety and Security
- Washroom codes are given to registered guests and are not to be given out.
- The Lions Campground is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
- Violation of any of these rules could lead to the termination of your stay immediately.

Cancellation Policy
FLEXIBLE
If the guest cancels at least 3 days before their check-in day and time, they will receive a full refund (minus Spot2Nite convenience or resort fees). If the guest cancels within the 3 days before check-in, there will be no refund.
