Coloma Resort Directions
- Coloma Resort is located in the town of Coloma, less than one hour from Sacramento, just off Highway 49 between Placerville and Auburn.
- From Sacramento, take Highway 50 east towards South Lake Tahoe.
- After about 30 miles, take exit #37 (Ponderosa/North Shingle Road).
- Turn left onto Highway 50, and then turn right at the light onto North Shingle Road.
- Follow North Shingle Road about 5 1/2 miles. North Shingle Road becomes Lotus Road.
- Follow Lotus Road about 6 miles until it ends at Highway 49.
- Turn right on Highway 49 and drive 3/4 mile to Mt. Murphy Road just past the Sutter’s Mill Gold Discovery Site.
- Take a left onto Mt. Murphy Road and cross over the one-lane bridge.
- As soon as you cross over the one-lane bridge, Coloma Resort is on your right. Drive Safe!

Rules
Registration and Arrival
Check-In Procedure
- Campground Check-In Time: 3 p.m.
- Campground Check-Out Time: 12 p.m.
- Registered guests of campsites or cabins will be responsible for any additional costs, expenses or other charges incurred by their occupants.
- While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager makes the ultimate decision regarding spot placement.
Gate Access:
- Your gate code will be emailed (and texted if available) on the day of your arrival.
- Please ensure we have your correct contact information on file.
Check-in and Check-out
- Check-in time is between 3 pm and 10 pm.
- Check-ins are NOT permitted after 10 pm.
- This is our quiet time for all guests.
- Check-out time for all Campground guests is prior to 12 pm.
- Check out time for all Cabin guests is prior to 11 am.
- Any guests who do not check out and depart from their campsite by 12 pm or cabin by 11 am will be charged an additional night's stay.
Payments and Refunds
- All charges for your stay are to be paid for in advance.
- We do not give refunds for early departures, low water levels, or inclement weather.
- Additional guests in a site or cabin must be registered for the length of the reservation.
- We do not give refunds for early departures or late arrivals, nor prorate charges for additional guests.
- The online booking fee is non-refundable.
- Credit to be used within a year.
Visitors
- Visitors are not allowed except by pre-arrangement and pre-payment.
- If you have not informed us in advance of a visitor’s name and paid for their visit, they will not be admitted.
- If you are already at maximum occupancy for your site, we will be unable to accommodate visitors.
- Site maximum occupancy limits include overnight guests and visitors of any age.
- Visitors are subject to a $15.00 per day fee.
- Visitors’ vehicles may need to be parked in the overflow parking.
- Visitor hours are from 10 am to 9 pm.
Campfires
- Generally, we allow safe wood-burning fires in the fire rings provided at most sites.
- We sell firewood bundles in our camp store as well as all the fixings needed for s'mores!
- During wildfire season and red flag warning days due to heat, wind, and humidity, wood fires are not allowed.
- Charcoal and Propane fire pits are permitted on a low flame for cooking purposes.
- Stay tuned for our new camp store propane fire pit.
- Enjoy a communal fire pit and meet some new friends!
Outside Catering
- Additional fees apply for bringing outside catering on-site.
- Outside catering must be prearranged and fees prepaid with the reservation office.
- Must provide business license and insurance,e, $300.00 per outside vendor
Minimum Stay
- All Cabins and Riverfront Sites must be reserved with a two-night minimum.
- A three-night minimum for all Cabins and Sites is required for all holiday weekends.
Quiet Hours
- Quiet Hours: 10 pm to 8 am.
- Please be courteous to other guests, as this is meant to be a relaxing and peaceful place.
- No noise should travel beyond the limits of your own site.
- Loud or amplified music, disruptive behavior, and disorderly conduct are not allowed at any time.
- We appreciate your help in ensuring that this is truly a vacation spot.
Generators
- Generators are not allowed to be operated in the park at any time; power is available at every site.
- Exceptions would be if an unexpected power outage.
Pet Policy
- Our campgrounds are especially dog-friendly, with pet waste bag dispensers easy to find throughout.
- We do have a few guidelines for people to follow when bringing animals to Coloma.
- Pets are allowed in the campground, but must be kept on a leash at all times.
- Pets are only allowed in specifically designated Cabins.
- Pets found in Cabins that are not specifically designated for pets will result in immediate eviction without refund and additional cleaning fees charged to your credit card on file.
- You must clean up after your pets.
- Pet waste bags are provided at several locations throughout the park.
- All pets must be kept inside at night and are never allowed to be left unattended.
- All pets must be licensed and current on their vaccinations.
- A pet that exhibits aggressive behavior, barks continually, or causes annoyance to other guests must be removed from the park immediately.
- You are strictly liable for any injuries caused by your pet.

Fire Information
- We do allow campfires when the county regulations allow.
- To protect our community and the wildlife around us, we do not allow campfires when there are red flag days.
Cooking Fuel Guidelines
- At Coloma Resort, we allow the use of propane and charcoal for cooking purposes. However, please note that the use of wood fires is subject to local county regulations, which may change based on fire hazard conditions.
- Before starting a wood fire, please ensure you are informed about current fire restrictions and comply with all safety guidelines to help prevent wildfires.

River Flow Information
- For those interested in rafting and tubing, it's important to stay informed about river flow conditions.
- We provide updates on the current flow levels to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience on the water.
- Please be aware of potential flood warnings and follow all safety protocols.

Bicycles, E-bikes & Scooters
- 5 MPH Speed Limit. All guests under 18 years of age MUST WEAR A HELMET.
- No Golf Carts, Go Karts, Dirt Bikes, ATVs, or other Motorized Toys are allowed.
Children
- Parents are responsible for the supervision and safety of their children at all times.
Conduct
- Including excessive intoxication or rules violated, may result in termination without a refund.
- Registered guests will be responsible for any damage.
Fireworks, Weapons & Drones
- Fireworks are prohibited by County Ordinance.
- All weapons are prohibited. (Guns, Knives, Bow and Arrows, etc.)
- No Drones.
Grassy Areas
- All grassy areas are for day use only.
- Tents are not permitted.
- All personal belongings must be removed before dark.
Parking
- We allow one vehicle per site. Our guest parking is located on the upper level in designated areas.
Pool
- Warning: No lifeguard on Duty. Children under 14 must have adult supervision.
- Dogs are not allowed in the pool area.
River
- Life Jackets are required by law for anyone on a floating device.
- All children 14 and under at all times.
Safety
- For everyone’s safety, please do not ride bikes, skates and skateboards down the main hill or in the front parking lot.
- Riding after dark is unsafe and not permitted.
Security Reminder
- Please keep vehicles locked and valuables secured.
- Report any suspicious behavior.
- Management is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Trash
- Our trash enclosures are conveniently located throughout the campground.
- You are responsible for your own trash.
- All trash must be placed in secure, tied bags.
- Trash is not to be left out overnight or at departure.
- Do not leave any large items such as barbecues, chairs, or other large items.
- Your card on file will be charged.
Cancellation Policy
MODERATE
If the guest cancels at least 1 week before your check-in day and time, they will receive a full refund (minus Spot2Nite convenience or resort fees). If the guest cancels within the 1 week before check-in, there will be no refund.
