The seven-meter geodesic dome is the signature accommodation — a full-scale structure positioned to capture the Front Range panorama, furnished and fitted with a private hot tub and sauna. Cabins provide additional lodging. Restrooms and showers serve the property, with a general store and snack bar on site and a bar for evenings. This is glamping that takes the experience seriously rather than pitching a tent with a bed in it, and the inventory is small — book well ahead.
A community fire pit anchors the evenings, with birding across the mountain terrain and mountains rising in every direction. The property stays open year-round, which makes winter stays genuinely viable at this elevation.
Black Hawk sits below in the historic casino district, which gives the property an unusual dual character: the gaming and dining of the district a short drive down, and high-country wilderness immediately above. Few Colorado lodging options put both within the same short radius.
The Nest serves guests year-round. Summer mountain access and fall color drive the heaviest demand, with winter drawing guests specifically for the dome-and-hot-tub experience under snow. Given the single dome and limited cabins, reserve as far ahead as you can for any weekend.

Registration and Arrival
Check-In Procedure
- Check-in begins at 4:00 PM.
- Check out by 11:00 AM.
- Early check-in or late check-out may be accommodated based on availability and may incur additional fees.
- While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement.
Initial Deposit
- At the time of booking, the first night's rate will be collected.
- Payment for all retail items and gift certificates will also be collected.
Scheduled Deposit
- 14 days before arrival, 100% of the reservation balance will be collected.
- If a reservation is booked "last-minute" (within the scheduled time frame), 100% of the remaining balance will be collected.
Credit Card Security
- Your credit card information is stored and processed securely.
Standard Occupancy & Additional Guest Policy
- Each dome reservation includes accommodations for up to 2 adult guests per night.
- Children are welcome with an accompanying adult, not to exceed occupancy limits.
- Children age 17 and under stay free.
- Additional adult guests (over the age of 17) are permitted at a rate of $25 per person, per night.
- Maximum occupancy limits vary by dome type and must not be exceeded for safety reasons.
Pet Policy
- We welcome well-behaved pets so you can enjoy your glamping getaway with your furry companions.
- Limit up to 2 pets per dome, each weighing 50 pounds or less.
- A fee of $25 per pet, per night, non-refundable.
- Crate Requirement: Pets must be crated at all times when left unattended in the dome.
- Crate rentals are available upon request for $25 per night.
- Guests are responsible for any damage caused by their pets.
- A refundable pet deposit of $250 will be collected at check-in (in addition to any other deposits).
Quiet Hours
- Quiet hours are enforced from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
- Please be respectful of the serene glamping environment and fellow guests.
Smoking & Fire Safety
- All domes and shared areas are non-smoking, including tobacco, marijuana, and vaping.
- Designated smoking areas are available on the property.
- Open flames (candles, personal fire pits) are strictly prohibited.
- Resort fire pits may be used at guests' own risk only while actively burning.
- Guests are not permitted to turn fire pits on or off—please reach out to resort staff for assistance.
Alcohol & Cannabis Policy
- Alcohol is permitted for guests 21 years and older within their private dome or in designated areas.
- In compliance with local law, cannabis consumption is prohibited in public or shared spaces and must not impact other guests’ experience.
In-Dome Amenities & Property Policy
- Each dome is thoughtfully outfitted with premium amenities including robes, slippers, pillows, throws, and kitchenware.
- Any items missing after check-out will be billed to the card on file at full replacement value.
- Guests are encouraged to enjoy these items during their stay, but not remove them from the premises.
Guest Code of Conduct
- To ensure an enjoyable experience for all, we ask guests to:
- Be courteous and respectful to staff, other guests, and the natural environment.
- Refrain from loud, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior.
- Supervise all children and pets at all times.
- Use all resort facilities responsibly and report any damages or concerns.
- Violation of these policies may result in removal from the property without refund.
Cancellation Policy
STRICT
If the guest cancels at least 1 week before your check-in day and time, they will receive a 50% refund (minus Spot2Nite convenience or resort fees). If the guest cancels within 1 week before check-in, there will be no refund.
