Jellystone Park™ West Georgia
Bremen, Georgia
36 RV Sites, 10 Cabins, 6 Tent Sites
At the intersection of I-20 and U.S. Highway 27 in Bremen, Georgia, Jellystone Park™ West Georgia puts Atlanta's skyline less than an hour to the east while delivering a self-contained family resort experience designed to make the city feel completely irrelevant for the duration of the stay. As part of the national Jellystone Park network, the West Georgia location operates on a programming model that bundles campsite or cabin accommodations with themed entertainment, character appearances, and a water park that gives families a full-day activity lineup without leaving the property.
The resort accommodates tent campers, pull-through RV sites with full hookups, and a variety of cabin configurations ranging from basic to quite comfortable, giving traveling families the flexibility to camp in their preferred style. The waterpark complex includes two swimming pools — including a dedicated kiddie pool — and an inflatable Wibit water obstacle course that draws campers back to the pool multiple times a day. Character appearances from Yogi Bear and Boo-Boo, wagon rides, train rides, miniature golf, gaga ball, and a large playground fill the schedule with organized and self-directed options that keep children occupied from breakfast through evening programs. Pets are welcome for families traveling with four-legged members.
The West Georgia landscape surrounding the resort is gently rolling and tree-lined in the manner of the Piedmont, with Haralson County's patchwork of farmland, woodlands, and small towns providing a welcome contrast to the Atlanta metro density just an hour east. Wooded pockets and open activity areas blend naturally throughout the campground's layout, creating an atmosphere that feels simultaneously energetic during peak activity hours and genuinely relaxed when the evening programs wind down and guests settle around fire rings across the grounds.
Stone Mountain Park, a Georgia landmark east of Atlanta, features its iconic exposed granite dome, a cable car ride to the summit, and laser-and-fireworks shows during peak season — a full half-day or longer from the resort. The Georgia Aquarium in downtown Atlanta, the largest aquarium in the Western Hemisphere, and the National Center for Civil and Human Rights are both worth the drive for families spending multiple nights at the resort. The Silver Comet Trail, a paved multi-use rail-trail stretching 61 miles across western Georgia toward Alabama, passes through Rockmart and Cedartown and is particularly well-suited to cyclists staying near its western terminus.
Jellystone Park™ West Georgia operates through the main camping season from spring through fall, with peak summer weeks in July and August and character-themed weekend events in June driving the heaviest demand. Cabin bookings fill well in advance for any summer date, so families with specific configuration needs should reserve early. The I-20 positioning also makes the resort a convenient and distinctly non-boring overnight stop for travelers passing through Georgia heading deeper into the South — a genuine step up from the roadside alternatives along this corridor.
