Rules

Registration and Arrival Check-In Procedure - Check-in from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM. - Check-out time is before 11:00 AM for all sites. - Any exception to check-in/check-out times must be pre-approved by campground management, and fees apply. - As a courtesy to your fellow campers, no check-in to the campground is allowed after 9:00 PM. - Cash or credit cards only at check-in. - Maximum of 4 persons in hard tents, and maximum of 6 persons on RV and tent sites. - While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement. Visitor - All visitors must register at the office and pay a fee before entering the campground. - Visitors are not allowed to bring pets per the NYS Health Department. - Visitors must depart the campground by 10:00 PM or pay an overnight fee. Deposit Requirements - Minimum of 50% deposit required for all non-holiday reservations. - All holiday reservations require payment in full when making reservations, including the Baseball Hall of Fame Induction weekend. - All online reservations require payment in full at the time of reservation. Speed Limit - Speed limit is 5 MPH, including bicycles. - You will be driving slowly. - It should feel that way. Quiet Time - Quiet time is 10:00 PM until 8:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday nights, and 11:00 PM until 8 AM Fridays, Saturdays, and holiday weekends. Children Policy - Children under 18 must be at their campsite after dusk or accompanied by a parent or guardian. Campers - Campers may not bring their own firewood to the campground unless it is from a 50-mile radius as per NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation. Vehicle - Bicycle helmets must be worn by children under 14. - No exceptions. - Bicycles must be at the site by dusk. - Maximum of 2 vehicles at your site per local code ordinance. - Overflow parking is available. - Inquire at the campground office. - No golf carts, ATVs, motorized scooters, skateboards, or roller blades, except by employees of the campground. - Licensed drivers only may drive on campground property. - All vehicles must display a camping pass, a visitor pass, or a seasonal pass. RV - One RV or tent per site per NYS Health Department rules. Firearms - No firearms, ammunition, air guns, BB guns, crossbows, bows and arrows, chain saws, slingshots, fireworks of any kind, or fresh kill allowed on campground property. Campfires - Fire rings cannot be moved. - A $20 fee for moving a fire ring will be charged. - Campfires are provided in fire rings only. - Campfires must be attended at all times. - No foraging for firewood or cutting/breaking of trees allowed. - A $200 fine will be charged for cutting or breaking trees. Smoking - Smoking is prohibited in all our buildings, Hard Tent rentals, and inside the fenced-in area of the swimming pool. - Please be considerate and do not throw your cigarette butts on the ground. Garbage - Garbage to be bagged and placed in the Hometown Hauling dumpster by the campground office. - Please bag and leave deposit recyclables by the office garage (We use the money from bottles and cans for updates to kids' areas and activities). - Paper and cardboard can be burned in your fire rings. Behavior - No disruptive behavior. - Disorderly contact will not be tolerated. - No underage drinking or illegal drugs. - We reserve the right to evict anyone at any time or refuse entrance to anyone violating the campground policies. Water - No water to full hook-up sites til at least May 1st(bathhouses are available). Campground Policies - It is our goal at Cooperstown Deer Run Campground to make everyone feel comfortable, welcome, and at home. - With that in mind, we ask that your site and speech not express any words that would make anyone feel uncomfortable, unsafe, or unwelcome. Flags - No flags, banners, or signage are allowed with the exception of the following: American flags or the national flags of other existing countries, Sports teams, Welcome signs, Home Sweet Home, family names, or similar signage. - No political flags, banners, or signage allowed. - No Confederate flags, banners, or signage. - No swastikas or Nazi images permitted. No representation of any words or symbols promoting hate or discrimination against any race, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, or gender. - No profanity audible outside of your own campsite. - No hate speech at all. - Words of kindness are strongly encouraged. - All rules are open to the discretion of management, and those exhibiting unruly behavior will be asked to leave the premises immediately. Pet Policy - Your well-behaved, non-aggressive, quiet pets are welcome on our RV & Tent sites. - Visitors are not allowed to bring pets. - A copy of a recent rabies vaccination must be presented at registration. - Rabies tags are not acceptable. - Pets must be kept in your camping unit during quiet time. - At no time may a pet be left alone or unattended. - Do not tie or chain pets to trees or tables outside of your own site. - Pets must be kept on a maximum 6-foot leash when being walked or a maximum 6-foot run when tied at your campsite. - Please clean up after your pet. - A fine of $20 will be issued for not picking up after your pet. - No pets are allowed in any campground buildings or the swimming pool area without the expressed consent of management. - Pet owners are 100% liable for any injuries or property damage caused by their pets. - The campground must be advised of the breed(s) of your dog. - If you are bringing a pet, please make sure you have up-to-date rabies vaccination certificates for every pet, or they can not be admitted to the campground. - Rabies tags are not sufficient. - Unfortunately, we are unable to make any exceptions to this ny state requirement. Pool Policy - Our swimming pool is open from ­Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend for registered campers only. - There is no lifeguard on duty, and there must be at least 1 adult present, age 18 or older, inside the pool fence, for anyone to swim. - Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian while in the pool area. - No diving allowed. - Complete rules and hours are posted poolside and must be read before entering the pool. - Please request the NYS Department of Health pool rules form, which must be signed at the campground office at check-in time or prior to entering the pool area. (New York State Law) Campground Disclaimer - Camping has inherent risks associated with outside activities. - Cooperstown Deer Run Campground, its owners and employees, are not responsible for any injuries or damages occurring as part of the inherent risks of any camping environment. - Complete campground rules are posted at the campground and furnished to guests at registration/check-in. - Please abide by all campground rules.

Cancellation Policy

MODERATE If the guest cancels at least 1 week before your check-in day and time, they will receive a full refund (minus Spot2Nite convenience or resort fees). If the guest cancels within the 1 week before check-in, there will be no refund.
