Hidden Creek Camp Ground

Springville, Tennessee

101 RV Sites, 2 Tent Sites

Tucked into the rolling hills of Henry County, Tennessee, Hidden Creek Camp Ground sits just minutes from the legendary waters of Kentucky Lake—one of the largest man-made lakes in the eastern United States and a destination beloved by anglers, boaters, and swimmers from across the Southeast. Located at 2576 W Antioch Road in Springville, the campground offers a quiet, wooded retreat with direct access to the lake ecosystem that has defined this region of western Tennessee for generations. Close enough to major highways to be convenient but far enough from the interstate to feel genuinely away from it all, Hidden Creek earns its name in the best possible way. The campground provides a welcoming mix of full hookup RV sites, cabin rentals, and tent sites, accommodating families and solo travelers in equal measure. An outdoor pool offers a refreshing alternative to the lake on hot summer afternoons, while lake swimming is available for those who want the full Kentucky Lake experience. Hiking trails thread through the surrounding hardwood forest, a fishing pond and creek provide accessible angling right on the property, and a pavilion serves as the social center for group gatherings and cookouts. Boat storage is available for guests bringing watercraft, and the pet-friendly policy ensures the whole family can join the adventure without leaving anyone behind. Western Tennessee's landscape is one of gentle hills, bottomland hardwoods, and waterways that expand and contract with the seasons. Kentucky Lake—formed by the TVA's Kentucky Dam on the Tennessee River—stretches 184 miles and offers 2,380 miles of shoreline, creating a vast inland water system supporting remarkable populations of bass, crappie, catfish, and sauger. The surrounding terrain is blanketed in oak, hickory, and sweet gum forest that turns spectacular shades of russet and gold in October, while spring brings wildflowers and the first warm evenings worth celebrating around a campfire with the windows of the rig thrown open. Kentucky Lake connects to Lake Barkley to the east, forming the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area—a 170,000-acre peninsula of TVA-managed forest, prairie, and wetland offering some of the best wildlife viewing, hiking, and horseback riding in the mid-South. Paris Landing State Park, just north on the Kentucky Lake shore, provides additional boat launch facilities, a beach, and an 18-hole golf course. Fort Donelson National Battlefield, where Ulysses S. Grant earned his nickname "Unconditional Surrender" in 1862, lies within an hour's drive for history enthusiasts looking to layer culture into their outdoor adventure itinerary. Spring is prime time on Kentucky Lake, when bass fishing peaks and the TVA fluctuates water levels to create ideal spawning habitat. Summer brings families to the water in force, and Hidden Creek's pool and pavilion handle the overflow during the hottest weeks. Fall is perhaps the most underrated season here—comfortable temperatures, excellent crappie fishing, and hardwood color make September and October ideal for a western Tennessee escape. Whether you're planning a fishing-focused stay or simply looking for a peaceful retreat, Hidden Creek Camp Ground offers the combination of comfort, convenience, and lakeside character that keeps guests coming back.
