Frequently Asked Questions Are pets allowed in Hidden Cove Park? - Yes! Dogs are welcome here under the condition that they are kept on a leash and picked up after. - They are also allowed to swim. Is alcohol permitted inside the park? - Yes! Responsible consumption of alcohol is allowed on the premises. - Beer can be purchased at the Ship Store, and drinks are also served at Rockin S – both of which are located in the marina area. The following activities are illegal and not allowed: - Public intoxication - Boating while intoxicated - Drinking under the age of 21 Do I need a special license for activities? You need a special license if you want to enjoy the following activities: - Fishing: A license normally costs around $10 and can be obtained from the sporting goods department of your local superstore. - Boating: Although some exceptions apply, boating courses are required for most boat drivers. - No license required for passengers. - Jet skis: Be warned that those aged 13 and under may not drive a jet ski alone. - More information can be found on the TPWD website. Will I have cell phone or WiFi service? - Cell Phone Service could end up being touch-and-go depending on your location within the park and your service provider. - At this time, we do not have WIFI available. Are canoes and kayaks the same thing? - No! While they are similar, a kayak is typically for one person who uses a double-ended paddle while his/her legs lie underneath the enclosed front. - A canoe can often seat more than one person and normally uses a single-bladed paddle while the boaters sit or kneel down. Is Lake Lewisville a man-made lake? - Yes! Lake Lewisville (formerly “Lake Dallas”) was originally created in 1927 to help prevent flooding in the area, along with being a water source. - Today, it serves more as a place of recreation, such as swimming, boating, and fishing. Must I pay an entry fee just to go to the Restaurant? - Yes, all customers must pay $20 to enter. Are there electrical outlets in the park? - Maybe. - There are no free-standing outlets, but all cabins have outlets. - We also have RV spots available with electricity. Are there bathrooms in the park? - Yes! There are multiple restroom facilities located on the premises. - These are not difficult to access and include several stalls as well as mirrors, sinks, showers, and changing areas. - We provide toilet paper and soap, but you are welcome to bring your own in case they ever run out. - We do not provide shampoo, lotion, or other toiletries. What is your refund policy? For Reservations - With 30+ day notice: money back. - With 14+ day notice: 80% money back OR 100% in park credit. - With 24+ hour notice: 100% in park credit. - No Refunds during your stay. - No Refunds due to weather. - No Refunds for things beyond our control. - There is a 6% refund fee.

Rules

Registration and Arrival Check-In Procedure - RV Check-in Time: 3 p.m. - RV Check-Out Time: 12 p.m. - Early check-in and Late check-out out available upon request, if available, for an additional fee. - At check-in, you must come into the front office to sign the rules and regulations, fill out any required paperwork, get your passes given with reservation, and come see our smiling faces. - Failing to do so could result in a fee. - Also, deposits will be taken at the time of Check-in. - No check-ins after 10 PM (8 PM off-season) unless you have an RV and have a reservation. - Please call in advance if you know you will not be arriving by 10 P.M., so we can leave your paperwork with Security - At the time of check-in, we take the ID of the person making the reservation, and it must match the reservation. - Card pictures may vary from the actual spot. - To avoid late fees, make sure you are out of your RV site and tent site by 12 p.m., and out of shelter cabins, bunkhouses, or tiny house cabins by 11 a.m. - While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager makes the ultimate decision regarding spot placement. Lock Fee - This fee must be paid to guarantee your specific spot. - Our system will re-arrange the booking grid to open spots during congested times, and by not paying this fee, you may be moved to another site that has equal amenities. - If you do not want this to happen, please be sure to pay the lock fee. Age Requirements - Guests must be 21 years old to camp overnight, or at least someone in the group is staying overnight. - Guests must be 25 years or older to reserve cabins, bunkhouses, or the conference center. Pet Policy - All pets must be on a leash, picked up after, and accompanied by their owner at all times. - Pets are not to be left tethered outside. - Place all trash and pet waste in the nearest trash dumpster. Vehicle Maintenance - No working on or doing maintenance on any vehicles without the manager's written approval. Water Use Restrictions - Water slides or anything that requires constant water usage are not allowed. Reservation and Payment Policy - By making this reservation, you agree not to charge back your card. - By making this reservation, you agree that the credit card user is aware of this charge. - At the time of check-in, we take the ID of the person making the reservation, and it must match the reservation and card. Alcohol, Smoking, and Glass Policy - No glass containers are allowed in the park or on the water. - Alcohol, while permitted, must be consumed responsibly and without public display. - Smoking is not allowed in cabins. Camping Site Restrictions - Tent camping is not allowed on RV sites. - RV camping is not allowed on tent or shelter sites. - Trunk tent camping is not allowed on RV sites. Fireworks and Prohibited Activities - Fireworks are not allowed. - Do not dump or throw items in the lake that do not belong there. - Hidden Cove Park does not allow blow-up bounce houses or other items without prior approval and proof of insurance. Parking and Guest Limits - On busy weekends, and to restrict overflow at sites, there may be limits imposed on the number of guests and cars allowed per site. Electrical Safety - RVs must plug into their stated amperage (for example, 30-amp RVs must plug into a 30-amp plug). - This is for the safety of all guests and to prevent electrical burns or fires. Nature and Outdoor Conditions - All units are outdoors and in nature, and there will be bugs and other critters roaming around the 600+ acre park. - Don’t forget to bring your favorite bug spray. Parking Policy - $20 per car Entry fee is required and MUST park in the "Blue" parking lots, unless you have your Hidden Cove Annual Sticker (per car) - There is no parking permitted on the grass; vehicles must be able to pass on the road. - There is an additional connection fee for charging Electric Vehicles at the site (cars, motorcycles, boats, etc) - Cars/Motorcycles: $15/night - Trucks: :$20/night - Boats: $50/night Quiet Hours - Quiet Hours are from 10 PM to 8 AM; please keep noise to a minimum so as not to disturb your neighbors during this time. Park Removal - Any failure to observe park rules can result in loss of the daily/annual pass. - Should the Police be called to your RV site or Shelter, you will be asked to leave the park. Deposits - Each unit will have a varying deposit. - These will be soft holds that will drop off after your reservation (after 5-7 business days, depending on the bank). - If staying more than 5 days, it will be a hard charge that will be refunded after your stay. - The deposit will be used to cover any basic damages, additional cleaning, replacing missing items, etc. If these issues exceed the deposit amount, additional funds may be taken out. Deposit Amounts - Bunkhouses: $450.00 - Tiny House Cabins: $350 - Shelter Cabins: $75 - All Other Units: $75 - Deposits for Large Parties: - For parties over 25 guests, or more than 5 units, there may be a requirement for event insurance to protect all parties. Additional Charges - When renting a shelter, you MUST clean the area of all trash, sweep out the cabin, leave picnic tables where they belong, clean out the fire pit, and the BBQ grill. - When renting a RV site, you MUST clean the area of all trash, leave the picnic tables where they belong, clean out the fire pit and the BBQ grill, or there will be an additional charge of $25.00 for each that is not cleaned once you check out. - Trash bags must be taken to the dumpster, or an additional $25.00 fee will be charged for your site. Cleaning Fee - Hidden Cove Park maintains a standard cleaning process after each stay. - However, if excessive cleaning or damage occurs, the guest’s deposit may be used to cover the additional costs beyond any initial cleaning fee charged. This policy applies equally to all guests. - Illegally dumping on premises (or in unfinished/locked sewer connections) is liable up to a $250 fine. - We do not tolerate illegal dumping on premises. - Any units that require a key will have a $50 replacement cost if the key is lost or not returned to the front office.

Cancellation Policy

MODERATE If the guest cancels at least 1 week before your check-in day and time, they will receive a full refund (minus Spot2Nite convenience or resort fees). If the guest cancels within the 1 week before check-in, there will be no refund.
