Kathi Sikorski, owners of Grand
Country Lakeside RV Park, have heard over the 28 years that
they’ve been in charge. According to them, 80 percent of the time what they
hear is true, but it’s dealing with the 20 percent that don’t obey the rules
that makes life less than pleasant for others.

The solution at Grand Country is to have an adult park, catering
to those over 40-ish.

The park hosts a very limited number of under 40 guests, focusing
on those that enjoy the peace and quiet. They don’t allow large or aggressive
breed dogs and only allow smaller breeds that are supervised. If a dog barks
incessantly, they’re asked to leave. No motorcycles, off-road vehicles or
other vehicles with straight pipes are allowed as well, preserving the
tranquility of the park.

“We’ve parked our trailer here for the last two
summers. Under a big tree and a beautiful hibiscus just
outside our door,” says guest DA
Hudson. “Erv & Kathi are the best – they
would even go turn our A/C on so our trailer would be cool when we
came up after work on a Friday! Adults, no noisy four wheelers and the most
beautiful view of Grand Lake ever. I can feel my blood pressure drop
before we even get our trailer set up. Peace, quiet and fine
people.”

​“This place is all about peace and quiet, and it really is right
on the lakeshore,” says guest John
Allender. “We enjoyed sitting in the shade of a tree, looking
at the lake and listening to the many birds singing.”

“The staff was very helpful with EVERYTHING, whether it
was RV repairs, local attractions, backing my trailer in or the
hiking trail right next door,” says park guest Heather
Harris. “They have a beautiful view of Grand Lake,
pull-through and back-in spaces (large), lots of beautiful grass and
trees. It’s not like other parks that feel like you’re crammed into
one big parking lot. The biggest asset for me was that it was QUIET,
as well as peaceful and serene.”

The park offers daily, weekly, monthly and annual spaces, with 30
and 50 amp electric. Monthly sites start at $225/month plus
electric.
