Crossing Creeks Farm

Shelbyville, Tennessee

7 RV Sites

On the rolling farmland of central Tennessee, Crossing Creeks Farm offers a camping experience rooted in the land in a way that most RV parks simply can't replicate. Located near Shelbyville—long celebrated as the capital of the Tennessee Walking Horse world—the farm combines full-service RV accommodations with a working regenerative farm, horseback riding, and a sense of connection to the countryside that makes a stay here feel meaningfully different from a standard highway stopover. Big-rig-friendly pull-through sites accommodate even the longest rigs, while the peaceful farm setting rewards those who stick around long enough to slow down. Full hookup sites provide the modern conveniences expected at a quality RV resort, and Adirondack-style cabins offer a comfortable alternative for those who prefer a cabin retreat over a coach or trailer. A dog park and dedicated dog wash station make life with pets considerably easier on the road, and a pet washing station extends that convenience to other four-legged travelers. Walking trails loop through the farm's creek bottoms and open pastures, giving guests an intimate look at the working landscape while providing a genuinely pleasant morning or evening walk. Horseback riding is available on the property, an experience that's becoming harder to find at an RV destination. The farm itself operates as a regenerative agriculture property, raising grass-fed meats and pasture-raised eggs available through the on-site Farm Store. Picking up dinner ingredients from the same farm where you're camping adds a dimension to the experience that guests consistently find memorable. The landscape around the property—rolling Tennessee farmland, creek corridors shaded by hardwoods, open pastures where horses graze—carries a timeless quality that makes the whole operation feel grounded in something real. Early mornings here are quiet and unhurried, with birdsong filling the spaces between. Shelbyville and the surrounding Bedford County area have deep ties to the Tennessee Walking Horse tradition. The Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration, held annually in Shelbyville, is one of the largest horse shows in the world and draws competitors and spectators from across the country. The broader Middle Tennessee region offers Civil War historic sites, scenic drives through the Duck River valley, and the charm of small towns like Wartrace and Bell Buckle, both known for historic districts and a welcoming small-town character. Nashville is a reasonable day trip for those wanting a dose of city energy. Crossing Creeks Farm operates year-round, and the combination of farm-fresh food, horseback riding, and peaceful Tennessee countryside makes it appealing in every season. Spring and fall bring the most comfortable temperatures for trail walks and time outdoors, while summer offers full enjoyment of the outdoor facilities and farm's active rhythms. The farm atmosphere suits families, couples, and solo travelers equally well, and the regenerative agriculture focus adds an educational dimension for guests curious about sustainable farming. Book a site or cabin at Crossing Creeks Farm and experience central Tennessee at its most grounded and genuine.
