1.01 reviewsOn 23.5 wooded acres just off Interstate 10 in northwest Pensacola, Leisure Lakes RV Resort provides a nature-forward, lakeside camping experience in one of the Florida Panhandle's most underrated outdoor recreation corridors. With 60 RV campsites, a white sand kayak beach, a catch-and-release fishing pond, nature trails, waterfront sites, and two fully appointed tiny home cabin rentals, the resort offers an unusually natural character for an I-10 adjacent facility—one that functions equally well as an overnight stop for highway travelers and a destination base for guests spending time on Pensacola Beach and the broader Gulf Coast. The combination of immediate access and genuine natural amenity is the resort's central appeal.
The 60 RV sites include pull-through configurations with 30 and 50-amp service, and waterfront positions along the property's lakes command the most consistent demand for repeat guests who know the layout. An on-site manager provides attentive property management, and WiFi, clean shower facilities, laundry, and a playground cover the standard needs of any length of stay. The white sand kayak beach—a new addition that has transformed the resort's water recreation character—provides a genuine beach experience on-site, with kayak rentals available for guests who want to paddle the lake system without their own equipment. Two tiny home cabin rentals—the Wild Goose Cabin and Heron's Nest Cabin—sleep six guests each in modern, fully appointed layouts that include all the comforts of a proper cabin stay.
The 23.5-acre property's mix of mature longleaf pine, hardwood forest, and open lake habitat creates a natural environment that generates excellent wildlife observation without requiring a drive to a state park. Herons, ospreys, wood ducks, red-headed woodpeckers, and the occasional river otter in the lake system provide regular entertainment for guests who simply sit with coffee at a waterfront site in the morning. Nature trails wind through the property, and the catch-and-release fishing pond gives anglers immediate access to bass and bream action without leaving the resort boundary. The dog park accommodates traveling dogs, and the property's general management reflects an investment in natural character that distinguishes Leisure Lakes from the more infrastructure-heavy RV resort alternatives in the Pensacola corridor.
Pensacola Beach and the Gulf Islands National Seashore are the primary destination attractions for the surrounding region, and the resort's I-10 access makes the beach drive a manageable 20-25 minutes regardless of traffic. Pensacola's Naval Air Station complex includes the National Naval Aviation Museum—one of the largest and most impressive aviation museums in the world, with more than 150 beautifully restored military aircraft on display—that justifies its own dedicated half-day. The Blue Angels, home-based at Pensacola NAS, conduct practice flights visible from the base environs in spring and fall. Pensacola's historic district, Seville Square, and a dining and bar scene built around the city's deep naval and Spanish colonial heritage complete the regional offering.
Leisure Lakes RV Resort operates year-round, and the Florida Panhandle's year-round mild weather makes every season viable for beach and outdoor access. Summer brings the highest demand for beachside amenities, while winter positions the resort as a snowbird alternative to south Florida's more crowded options. The combination of lakeside nature, fishing, kayaking, beach proximity, and the National Naval Aviation Museum makes the resort a legitimate multi-day destination. Book your waterfront site early and let the Pensacola Panhandle deliver what it consistently promises.

Arrived in the evening, office closed. They did not provide space number or bathroom code. Got the code from another resident. Bathroom was very dirty. Shower was gross. Appeared to be mostly full-timers.
