Myers Landing RV Resort
Springville, Tennessee
12 RV Sites, 8 Motel Rooms
Myers Landing RV Resort sits on the western shore of Kentucky Lake in Springville, Tennessee, in Henry County's lake country where the Tennessee River's impoundment creates one of the largest and most productive inland recreation lakes in the eastern United States. The resort is positioned directly on the water, providing the immediate lake access for fishing and boating that distinguishes a genuine lakefront camping experience from a campground that happens to be near water, and the combination of water access and family amenities makes it a solid base for the multi-day Kentucky Lake visits that the lake's scale and recreation diversity genuinely reward.
RV sites with 50-amp full hookups are positioned around the pool for convenient access to the resort's primary amenity cluster. A swimming pool, 24-hour laundromat with three washers and three dryers, playground with swings, slides, and pirate ship play equipment, covered pavilion for group activities, arcade, and game room cover the programmed recreation needs of families. Cornhole, karaoke in the pavilion, and classic checkers provide the more social, communal activities that lake resorts build their atmosphere around. Motel rooms with mini-fridges, microwaves, coffee makers, and FireTV provide enclosed accommodation for guests without RVs or who want a hotel experience adjacent to the campground infrastructure.
Kentucky Lake and the connected Lake Barkley form the largest manmade lake system in the eastern United States by surface area, impounded by the Kentucky Dam and Barkley Dam on the Tennessee and Cumberland Rivers respectively and separated by a narrow land bridge that the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area protects as a 170,000-acre peninsula of managed public land. Kentucky Lake's western Tennessee shore—the side on which Myers Landing sits—is less developed than the Kentucky sections and provides a quieter, more rural lake camping experience than the resort communities around Aurora and Benton that anchor the lake's northern end.
The fishing on Kentucky Lake is among the finest freshwater angling in the South: largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, Kentucky spotted bass, crappie, catfish, and sauger all inhabit the lake in fishable populations, and the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency's stocking program maintains the fishery at a level that consistently produces trophy-class catches. Springville's proximity to the lake's primary bass habitat—the Tennessee River's original channel, marked by submerged timber and structural features that hold fish year-round—makes it one of the better launching points for serious tournament-style bass fishing on the upper end of the lake.
Myers Landing RV Resort operates through the Tennessee camping season, with the peak period running from Memorial Day through Labor Day when the pool, lake access, and family recreation programming are at maximum capacity. Spring bass fishing from March through May draws the most dedicated anglers, and fall crappie fishing from September through November is locally considered some of the best on the entire lake. The resort's combination of water access, family amenities, and motel rooms makes it a flexible option for mixed-party stays where some members of a family group arrive without camping equipment but everyone wants the Kentucky Lake experience.
