If you are looking for a campground with a family-friendly atmosphere, try the West Point Campground northwest of Medford on the Mondeaux Flowage.
The West Point Campground on the Medford-Park Falls Ranger District is located on the Mondeaux Flowage with 13 accessible campsites equipped with a parking spur, campfire ring with grill, picnic table, vault toilets, and drinking water. There is an accessible vault toilet and fishing pier at the nearby Lakeview Day Use Site.
Day use facilities include access to the popular 416 acres Mondeaux Flowage and the Ice Age National Scenic Trail. There is no long-term or day-use parking for visitors entering the Ice Age National Scenic Trail within the campground. A dumpster is provided for registered campers.
So, if you like to hike, fish, swim, canoe, or picnic, then the Mondeaux Dam Recreation Area is the place for you, located 25 minutes north of Medford. The West Point Recreation Area is pet friendly; See restrictions below for more information.
