Castle Gate RV Park & Campground in Helper is located halfway between downtown Salt Lake City and Moab, and only about an hour from the Provo area. We are located a few blocks from Historic Helper’s Main Street, with restaurants, coffee shop, bowling alley, museum, art galleries, grocery store, gift shops, business center, liquor store, post office, bar with pool and darts, and many photo opportunities.
Helper is on the East side of the Wasatch Mountains and not at all affected by the smog or temperature inversion that impacts the air quality of the Salt Lake metro area. When you get to Helper you feel like you have gone back in time about 70 years and instantly get a soul soothing feeling mixed with both exhilaration and relaxation.
Directly from Castle Gate RV Park, you can easily access hundreds of miles of ATV trails, hiking and mountain bike trails, rock climbing, kayaking, fly-fishing, country club golfing, sport and target shooting, motorcycle rides, horseback riding, and more. Within 45 minutes are a dinosaur museum and dinosaur quarry, petroglyphs in 9-Mile Canyon, two state parks with reservoirs (Scofield and Huntington), Manti-La Sal National Forest, and much more.
