Cripple Creek KOA

2576 County Rd 81, Cripple Creek, CO 80813, USA

    The Place

At 10,000 feet above sea level, the Cripple Creek KOA is the highest KOA in the world located on a remote high valley with breathtaking views. It is always cool (normal mid-June to mid-August highs 70-80, normal lows 40-50 degrees Fahrenheit) and never humid. There are glorious sunsets, fabulous star gazing and quiet, restful nights.

The Cripple Creek / Victor area is full of things to do:

      • Cripple Creek Historical Museums
      • Mollie Kathleen Gold Mine
      • Live entertainment at the Butte Theater
      • Narrow rail steam train ride out of Cripple Creek
      • Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument
      • Wolf Refuge in Divide
      • CC/Victor Gold Mining Company which offers tours of the active operations
      • Area horseback and ATV riding
      • White water rafting (Royal Gorge area)
      • Hiking up Trachyte Knob adjacent to the campground, or nearby trails
      • Fishing at Skaguay or Eleven Mile reservoirs
      • Low stakes gambling in Cripple Creek

We are located in between Colorado Springs / Pike’s Peak area and Royal Gorge area attractions, each being 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours away. RV sites are pull-thrus with open, spectacular views of the high mountain countryside. Tent campers may choose a wilderness site in the Aspen trees, on the meadow, or a deluxe site with covered table, electricity and water. We also have primitive camping cabins and camping lodges. All sites have picnic tables and fire pits for great campfires on cool evenings. Outdoor pancake breakfast is held on weekends for an additional charge, as well as complimentary S’mores night on Saturday. We provide several propane grills and a camp kitchen for use by our guests. Onsite recreation includes a game room, pedal carts for rent, sand volleyball, basketball hoop, horseshoes, cornhole, and several play areas. Leave the hot weather behind! Join in for COOL weather in our serene mountain setting!
