Nestled in 70 acres surrounded by the Baraboo, Wisconsin hills, Skillet Creek Campground offers a serene setting for your next camping trip. Located one mile from Devil’s Lake State Park, this campground lets you enjoy hiking, rock climbing, swimming, biking, fishing, boating or just a relaxing afternoon at the beach.
Park Rules & Directions
CAMPGROUND RULES & POLICIES
● CHILDREN: Your children are your responsibility. All minors must be accompanied by an adult. All kids must be back to your site at 10pm.
● FIRES: Fires in fire rings only. Please do not move fire rings.
● FRESH WATER HOSE: Every RV/travel trailer is required to have a fresh water RV Hose.
● PETS: Two animals per campsite. Pets must be leashed, picked up after and never left unattended. If your dog is aggressive towards people or other animals, please do not bring them to the campground.
● QUIET TIME: 10:30pm to 8am. No music or loud voices!
● SAFETY: No weapons or fireworks allowed in the park.
● SKATEBOARDS/BIKES, ETC: Must be put away at dark.
● SPEED LIMIT: 5 MPH
● VISITORS: All visitors must register in the office and get a car pass. Day passes are valid until 10 pm. Visitors are subject to all campground rules. EVERY VEHICLE MUST DISPLAY A CAR PASS.
FACILITY SERVICES
● BARN GAMEROOM/LAUNDROMAT: The upper part of the barn holds coin operated washer/dryers for your use and a game room. Open 8am-10:30pm Friday and Saturday, Sundays and Weeknights until 9pm. Before Memorial Day and after Labor Day, barn closes at 8 pm on Sundays and Weeknights.
● DUMP STATION: NO DUMPING of GRAY WATER; use a holding tank or the dump station.
● FIREWOOD & ICE: Available at the Office/Store. We do not allow firewood to be brought in. Cutting trees is prohibited.
● FISHING POND: Fishing is available for catch & release, no license required.
● GARBAGE: Reduce, reuse, recycle! Bins are available as you exit the park, please put all aluminum cans in the appropriate bin. Do not leave bags of trash at the site or trash in your firepit. We DO NOT pick up bags of trash. Your firepit is not a garbage can.
● HIKING TRAIL: Please keep the trail clean.
● NO SMOKING: No smoking in the Barn (Game Room/Laundromat), Restrooms or Office/store.
● OFFICE/STORE: Open until 10:30pm Friday and Saturday, Sundays and Weeknights until 9pm. Before Memorial Day and after Labor Day, store closes at 8pm on Sundays and Weeknights.
● PLAYGROUNDS: Children must be supervised at all times. Playground closes at dark. We are not responsible for injuries or accidents.
● SHOWERHOUSE: Showers are free (5-minute limit). Please respect others. Please do not do dishes in bathrooms.
● SWIMMING POND: Must adhere to swimming pond rules posted at pond.
● WI-FI: Wi-fi Hotspot near office. Network: ________________ Password:__________________
RESERVATION POLICIES
● CHECK IN: Check in between noon and 10:30pm Friday and Saturday and between noon and 9pm Sunday – Thursday. (Cabins and Rental RV check in starts at 2 PM).
● CHECK OUT: Check out by noon or renew for another night by 10am. (Cabins and Rental RV check out by 11 am).
● TWO ADULTS PER SITE: All site rates include 2 adults and their own children under 18 yrs. Each additional adult is $12/night. Campers must be at least 18 years old to camp unaccompanied by an adult.
● VEHICLES: You are allowed two vehicles per site. No parking on roads. Every vehicle must display a car pass.
● 2 NIGHT STAY: Minimum 2 night stay on weekends with reservations. 1 Night stay walk-ins welcome but must arrive before the store closes.
● 3 NIGHT STAY: Minimum 3 night stay on holiday weekends (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day).
● CANCELLATIONS: All reservations are paid in full at the time of booking. Skillet Creek Campground reservations are NON-REFUNDABLE. If canceled before 14 days of camping arrival date, a camping credit will be issued for the full amount minus a credit processing fee. The camping credit is valid 1 year from the date that the camping credit is issued. If canceled or modified within 14 days of the camping arrival date, no camping credit or refunds will be issued. No refunds for no call, no show to the reservation and no refunds for early departures. Confirmations are emailed and verification of the camping dates are the responsibility of the campers. By providing your credit card number, you are authorizing Campspot and their credit card processing company to bill your credit card for the full amount of the reservation, including any costs accrued during your stay, and outstanding balances not paid at the time of departure.
Please remember that this is a privately owned campground. The campground owners and employees are not responsible for accidents or injuries to campers, guests or their property or the loss of valuables of any kind. Management reserves the right to evict any and all violators of the Rules and Regulations without refunds and to remove persons or animals which are considered detrimental to the health, safety and welfare of management or others using the campground and facilities. It is further agreed that any breach by the camper or camper’s guests of the Rules and Regulations shall constitute grounds for immediate eviction from the campground with no refund of fees.
