Whispering Surf Campground at Bass Lake
The Place
Whispering Surf Campground at Bass Lake embraces the idea of old-fashioned camping – forested with oak, pine and white birch and nestled between the clear blue waters of Bass Lake and the white sands of Lake Michigan. Tucked away in the North Woods, it’s a slow-moving pace where you can relax and enjoy the best of what camping has to offer. Our campground is guaranteed clean and friendly! Reservations are strongly recommended for all weekends & holidays and for groups.
Park Rules & Directions
PET OWNERS
All pets must be on a 6-foot leash at all times and tethered when on your campsite. No pets may be left unattended outside or in tents/pop-ups. Pets left alone in RVs must remain quiet during your absence. You must clean up after your pet anywhere on the camp property. Pet stations have been provided for your convenience. The maximum number of pets per site is 2 -- no exceptions. Obey all the rules while using the Bark Park.
PLEASE NOTE: All property adjoining Whispering Surf Campground is privately owned. Please respect our neighbors by not trespassing. When going to the beach, please walk only on roads and designated trails. Respect other campers and do not walk or ride through other campers sites.
CAMPGROUND RULES
These rules are intended to provide a safe and fun experience for ALL of our guests.

1. Campsite Check-In after 3 PM and before dusk - Campsite Check-Out NOON.
2. Cottage Check-In 4 PM -- Cottage Check-Out 11 AM.
3. Quiet Time 11 PM - 9 AM -- no outside music, TVs or noisy activities.
4. Generators may NOT be operated in the campground.
5. Campfires must never be left unattended.
6. Only 1 RV, 1 picnic table and 2 vehicles per site -- one immediate family or 6 unrelated adults per site. An 8’ x 6’ or smaller tent may be used on an RV site.
7. Firearms must remain in your camper at all times.
8. Do not cut/damage any trees or insert any hooks or nails into trees.
9. Motorcycles may be ridden to and from the campsite only.
10. Bicycles may be ridden in camp, on roads, beach area and public areas except for the hills in front and behind the lodge.
11. Alcohol may be consumed inconspicuously on your site. Use of illegal substances or misuse of alcohol are grounds for immediate ejection.
12. Electric golf carts may be operated by licensed drivers and children over 10 when accompanied by an adult. Gas-powered carts are not allowed.
13. Boats, sport utility vehicles, and utility trailers must be parked in the overflow lot -- check with the office.
14. Electric vehicles may be charged for a fee if prior arrangements are made with the office.
15. No dogs allowed on our beach.
16. Trash will be collected roadside throughout the day. Last pickup is 8 PM or must be kept in the RV or car.
17. No dishwashing permitted in restrooms.
18. All visitors must register and pay a visitor fee -- campers are responsible for the actions of their guests. All guests must depart the park by 10 PM.
19. Parents are responsible for their children's conduct. Children cannot be left alone in the park without adult supervision. All children, including teens, need to return to their campsite by 10 PM. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult in the Lodge.
20. No fireworks or Chinese lanterns allowed in the park or beach. No fires allowed on the beach.
21. No washing of RVs or vehicles.
22. No outside deliveries of firewood are allowed.
23. No political flags may be displayed anywhere on campground property.
