We are a wonderful family place with numerous activities nearby for all ages. Our campground has many amenities to offer such as all shaded sites (grass, gravel with patios, or concrete), river sites with large decks, a swimming pool, a children's playground, laundry facilities and a modern, super clean bathhouse. Your camping vacation could also include river tubing, trout fishing, horseback riding (nearby), or take advantage of Townsend's bicycle and walking path. Purchased by a group of local friends in June 2022, we look to maintain the fun, family atmosphere that Mountaineer Campground is known for and hope the improvements we've made- and will continue to make- keep people camping here for generations to come.

Carved into the side of a mountain, we offer stepped sites with campground views on our lower tiers. Our top or 3rd tier offers stunning vistas. Four sites boast private decks with a swing, cafe table, and fire pit. These sites fill up quickly as you can imagine! Most of our sites offer full hookups and 30/50 amps. We do have several water and electric-only sites that are perfect for pop-ups, teardrops, and more petite campers. These sites are located a short walk from our clean and well-maintained bathroom facilities. We cater to motorhomes, 5th wheels, and travel trailers including pop-ups and micro campers!
