The Arkansas Hills Trail System are the closest trails to downtown Salida. On the F street bridge you can see the Frontside Trail zig zag across S-Mountain. Built in 2010, this trail leads to a sweet single track system to the north and East of downtown. S-Mountain, Ute Trail, Deadhorse and Cottonwood Gulches. These areas are in Salida’s back yard.
