4 Great Family Fun Trips for Spring
    Break

    Happy Camper Blog

    Spring break
is a great time to get away with the family, visit one of America’s many
attractions, and create happy memories that will last a lifetime. To make the
trip even more memorable, stay at a nearby campground and RV park! Not only
will it save you money on food and lodging, it’ll add an extra element of
fun. Many campgrounds offer transportation to nearby attractions, so you can
easily combine a visit to your activity of choice with a family-bonding
    adventure in the great outdoors.

Here are just a few ideas
of places to stay and things to see. Try one for your next trip or come up
with a family-fun combo of your own!

Theme Park by Day, Campsite by
    Night

    Tropical Palms
    RV Resort and Campground, Kissimmee,
    FL

This RV park and campground has
a shuttle that will take you directly to Walt Disney World. It is also just
minutes away from Universal Studios, Sea World and other theme parks. Visit
attractions in the day then come back to the campground at night to catch a
dive-in movie at the pool or relax with family around the campfire. If you
need a break from theme park lines, you can make your own family fun at the
campground playing shuffleboard, watching a gator and tiger show, singing
karaoke or listening to live music.

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, Lake Buena
    Vista, FL

    Looking for something
more rustic? Pitch your tent, park your RV or stay in a wilderness cabin in
this resort’s picturesque 750 acres of pine and cypress forest located in the
middle of Walt Disney World Resort. A complimentary bus will take you to the
attractions or you can spend your time instead horseback riding, fishing,
canoeing on the lake, or going down the corkscrew water slide at the resort’s
    pool.

Just Another Day at the Beach (Or Pool)

    Pirateland Family Camping Resort, Myrtle
    Beach, SC

    Just the name of this
place sounds fun, but it’s only the beginning. This oceanfront resort has a
daily schedule of family fun planned over Spring Break (April 14-20) from tye
dying and 3-legged races to miniature golf contests and scavenger hunts by
the pool. Not traveling on those dates? That’s okay. You and the fam can
still float down their 510 foot lazy river, sunbathe by the ocean, or visit
nearby entertainment like Hard Rock Theme Park, NASCAR Speed Park, or
    Ripley’s Aquarium.

    Explore our Nation’s Capitol

    Cherry Hill Park, College Park,
    MD

    What better time to educate
your kids (and yourself) about our nation’s history than when Washington
D.C.’s 3,000 cherry blossoms are in bloom and festival activities are
planned? Worried about traffic and parking? At Cherry Hill Park, the closest
RV park and campground to Washington, D.C., a bus will pick you up at the
campground and drop you off at the metro, which will take you into the city.
Problem solved! Visit monuments, memorials, the capitol, the festival, and
the zoo—all for free! Then return to the campground and relax away from the hustle
    and bustle.
