it comes to lighting and decor. Here are six unique places you can go to

1. A Historic Mansion . .

Visit Delaware’s Brandywine Valley to tour Henry Francis du
Pont’s former childhood home, a magnificent 175-room estate set on
1,000 acres. For the holidays, the home is adorned with exquisitely decorated
Christmas trees placed throughout the Conservatory, an 18-room dollhouse
mansion decorated for Christmas, a series of American Christmas vignettes
featuring skating and sleigh ride scenes inspired by Currier & Ives
and much more. Tours available through January 8.

Magic in Christmas Lights
| Bellingrath Gardens, Theodore, AL
Now in its 21st year, this
family-friendly event allows guests to stroll through a dazzling
holiday attraction which features more than 1,000 displays, three million
lights and 15 scenes set throughout this 65-acre estate. Choral performances
are presented on Sundays through Thursdays on the South Terrace, and photo
ops with Santa and tours of the Bellingrath home are also offered. Through
December 31.

3. A Cavern . . .
Lights Under Louisville

It’s not often that you get to see a light show
underground! For the holidays, the Louisville Mega Cavern is
transformed into a spectacular underground light display. This unique event
allows the public to drive their own cars through part of the cavern’s 17
miles of underground passageways. During the 30-minute ride you can see over
850 characters lit up with over two million points of light. According to
Lights Under Louisville, it’s the only underground light show of its kind on
the planet. Through December 31.

Santa Claus Land of Lights

You would expect a town named Santa Claus to have a spectacular
light show, and Lake Rudolph
Campground & RV Resort fills the bill with its Santa Claus
Land of Lights family Christmas light adventure. This custom, drive-through outdoor light show tells
the story of Rudolph in bright, energy-efficient LED lights. The 1.2
mile-long show is the only one in North America that tells a story in lights
and storyboards, and every vehicle receives a free photo with Rudolph. Open
nightly through New Year’s Eve. A portion of the proceeds benefit Ronald
McDonald House Charities of the Ohio Valley. Through New Year’s

Old Time Christmas | Silver
Dollar City, Branson, MO
This
popular Christmastime attraction features over five million dazzling
lights, 1,000 decorated Christmas trees, two Broadway-style productions and a
five-story special effects Christmas tree. There’s also a Holly Jolly
Christmas Light Parade featuring Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer &
Friends. Through December 30.

6. A Motor Speedway . . .
Glittering Lights at Las Vegas Motor Speedway
| Las Vegas, NV
Billed as Nevada’s largest holiday light show, Glittering Lights at Las Vegas Motor
Speedway offers a fun experience for the whole family. It allows
guests to see millions of dazzling lights as they drive along the 1.5 mile
speedway. A number of ticket options are available, and this year, there’s a
Santa Tram VIP option that includes hot cocoa, kettle corn, a photo with
Santa and more. Through January 7th.
