Idaho Springs RV Campground in Idaho Springs, CO, offers 39 full-hookup RV sites and 3 tent sites, with 20, 30, and 50-amp service and room for rigs up to 55 feet.
Sites come in three categories — short back-in, long back-in, and pull-through — all carrying water, sewer, and electric with site-delivered WiFi, a fire pit, and a picnic table, and ADA-accessible sites are available. Choosing between the short and long back-ins at booking takes the guesswork out of fitting your rig. Coin-operated laundry is on site. Pets are welcome, and the campground asks that they stay leashed and cleaned up after.
There's no recreation program on the grounds, which suits the setting — this is a basecamp, and guests spend their days in the canyon and the mountains above it.
Idaho Springs sits in the Clear Creek Canyon corridor 40 minutes west of Denver on Interstate 70 — a historic mining town that's the closest RV camping to both the town itself and the ski resort corridor beyond.

Rules
Registration and Arrival
Check-In Procedure
- RV Check-in Time: 2 p.m.
- RV Check-Out Time: 11 a.m.
- While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager makes the ultimate decision regarding spot placement.
Daily Information
- No current fire ban.
- Propane refills are available in the campground.
Quiet Hours
- 9:30 PM to 7 AM.
Site Changes
- You have been assigned a specific site.
- If you wish to move, please check with the office.
- Due to reservations and maintenance, moving may not be possible.
Campfires
- Wood fires during a fire ban are strictly prohibited.
- Some fire ban levels allow for propane fire pits, which can be rented or purchased at the campground store.
- When there is no fire ban, fires may only be lit in designated fire rings.
- Firewood is available for purchase in the campground store.
Pet Policies
- Dogs must be on a leash at all times unless in designated pet parks.
- Please pick up after your pet. Complimentary bag stations are located throughout the park.
- Do not leave your pet unattended. Leaving pets outside may attract mountain lions.
Trash
- Never leave food out at night, as this will attract bears.
- Dispose of all trash and food waste in the dumpsters.
- Secure all trash from the wind so it does not blow into the woods.
Vehicles
- Each reservation includes one RV/camper and one vehicle per site. Trailers, boats, and additional vehicles incur extra fees.
- Please do not park in the road or on the mulch.
- Please do not wash your vehicle or RV at the site.
- Absolutely no mechanical work is permitted at the sites.
Electrical Use
- You are responsible for understanding how many amps you are using.
- Amp usage over the 50 AMPs provided may trip the breaker.
Restrooms
- Restrooms are open 24/7.
- Non-service dogs and other animals are not permitted in shower rooms.
Fireworks and Firearms
- Fireworks and firearms are strictly prohibited in our park.
Respecting Nature
- Please help us preserve the beauty of our surroundings by not picking any flowers or plants.
- If you come across a flower on the ground, kindly leave it where it is.
- Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our area pristine.
Cancellation Policy
Campground Cancellation Policy
- No refunds once your reservation has started: If you decide to check out early for any reason, there will be no refund.
Non-Holiday Weekends
- Cancellations made 30 or more days before the reservation start date will incur a 10% cancellation fee.
- Cancellations made 7–29 days prior will incur a 25% cancellation fee.
- Cancellations made 2–6 days prior will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
- Cancellations made within 24 hours of the reservation start date are nonrefundable.
Holiday Weekends
- Cancellations made 30 or more days prior will incur a 30% cancellation fee.
- Cancellations made 7–29 days prior will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
- Cancellations made within 6 days of the reservation date are nonrefundable.
- All Spot2Nite reservations require payment in full at the time of booking.
