Floyd Family Campground
Our year-round campground features a variety of RV spaces with water, electricity, and sewage, and plenty of beautiful spaces for pitching your tent, all tucked away in the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains. In addition, we have some great glamping options for those who would like to camp with the added comforts of home. Amenities on-site include heated bathhouses, free Wi-Fi, hiking and mountain biking trails, great areas for bird watching, a nine-hole disc golf course, children’s play areas, an RV dump station, an ATM, fire pit rentals, and more. Not to mention acres of beautiful fields and woodlands ready to explore. Our camp store offers a wide selection of necessities and Floyd Family Campground merchandise, and our campground manager is on-site for any questions or recommendations that you may need during your stay.

Check-In Procedure
- Check-in time: 2:00 pm.
- Check-out time: 11:00 am.
- Please stop at the camping office to check in.
- After passing through the main entrance, the camping office can be found at the top of the hill.
- For after-hours check-in, follow the posted directions.
- Please leave the site as you found it.
- Check the campground map posted on the porch of the camp office to confirm your space number.
- While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement.
Visitors
- Registered guests will be permitted on the premises.
- All guests must pay usage fees & register at the Campstore and must be confirmed by their party.
- Visitor cars must be parked in the auxiliary parking areas with a car tag visible at all times.
- Visitors cannot bring in trailers, campers, or ATVs.
- Combined visitors & campers must not exceed the allowed number of campers on a site.
Campsites
- Guests are prohibited from putting down rugs, mats, or tarps that overlap the grass in the sites.
- This will kill the grass and damage the site’s visual appeal.
- Any intentional damage to the Site or amenities on site (Picnic Tables, Fire Rings, etc.) will not be tolerated by FFC.
- If found in violation of these requirements, a $75.00 fine will be imposed.
Vehicles
- Guests must keep vehicles in gravel areas.
- Only two vehicles per site.
- All additional cars, boats, and trailers are to be parked in designated auxiliary parking areas.
- Please check with our staff for locations.
- Camp vehicle tags must be displayed at all times.
- The use of motor vehicles is not allowed on any surface other than gravel roads.
- The use of ATVs is prohibited.
Speed Limit
- Please keep in mind that the speed limit for FFC grounds is 10 mph.
Fire Rings
- All fire rings and charcoal grills in use must be attended to at all times.
- Open-air fires will not be allowed when fire risk is high.
- All burning materials must be kept inside the container.
- Burning trash in your fire ring is strictly prohibited.
- Fires need to be put out before checkout.
- Any damage to a fire ring rental will result in a $50.00 fine.
- No open campfires (please use fire pits or grills when necessary)
Firewood
- Firewood can be purchased at the Check-in Campstore.
- Please pay for firewood via the Campstore Dropbox if purchased after hours.
Children
- All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Pet Policy
- We are a pet-friendly resort, but pets must be on a leash at all times, cleaned up after, and may not disturb other guests.
- Upon check-in, please notify the office of your pets.
- Pets are the responsibility of the owner.
- Management reserves the right to restrict disruptive or aggressive breeds.
- Pets must remain leashed and with their owners at all times.
- Aggressive pets will not be allowed.
- Dogs may not be permitted to enter the event area if camping for a festival.
Trash
- Campers must keep perishables in containers and put trash in the trash dumpster or local receptacles.
- No littering, please properly dispose of garbage upon departure.
Nature and Wild
- Please do not disturb the natural environment, including damaging trees, shrubs, vegetation, or animal habitat.
- No cutting of trees, limbs, or vegetation on the property.
- If found in violation, a $75.00 fine will be imposed.
Quiet Time
- In consideration of all guests, mandatory quiet time is from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am.
- Generators are not permitted during quiet time unless approved by staff for a Dry Camping area.
- Please respect fellow campers by refraining from noise before 9:00 am and after 10:00 pm.
Prohibited Items
- No firearms, weapons, fireworks, or metal detectors are allowed on the campground.
Legal Compliance
- Virginia drug & alcohol regulations must be obeyed.
Alcohol Policy
- All alcohol must be kept in coolers & covered containers.
Behavioral Conduct
- Public intoxication of guests or visitors is not permitted under any circumstances.
- Removal from the premises will be immediate with no refund.
Cancellation Policy
MODERATE
If the guest cancels at least 1 week before your check-in day and time, they will receive a full refund (minus Spot2Nite convenience or resort fees). If the guest cancels within the 1 week before check-in, there will be no refund.
