Spread across 500 acres of untamed beauty, our facility has it all—fields, forests, mountains, and meandering streams. Craig Creek, a gentle watercourse, stretches nearly half a mile through our property, inviting you to unwind with tube floats, canoe paddles, or refreshing afternoon dips on sun-soaked days. There's no shortage of opportunities for relaxation and adventure alike. Explore world-class wilderness areas like Roaring Run Recreation Area, or test your grit summiting peaks like the nearby Tinker Mountain. Go at your own pace, whether by foot, boat, or bike, or let us lead the way on multi-day escapades. Consider us your home base for thrilling exploration.

Our campsites are a testament to rustic charm, accommodating various camping styles. Choose from pull-in RV sites, secluded tent spots, rooftop camping, and large, private group sites. Each site is tucked away in a cedar forest alongside a spacious meadow bordered by the rolling waters of Craig Creek. All sites are conveniently close to our warm shower-house and water hydrants, with ice, firewood, and water cubes readily available.

Rock Bottom Horse Camp, nestled in the scenic backdrop of Ewing, Virginia, and adjacent to the Cumberland Gap National Historical Park, offers a unique camping experience for both horse enthusiasts and nature lovers. Our campground is conveniently located a short ride from park trails, unveiling breathtaking views of White Rocks, Sand Cave, and Hensley Settlement.

Our campground is equipped with 8 sites for horse trailers or RVs, each featuring a picnic table and fire ring. These include one 70' site for larger rigs, five 60' sites, and two 50' sites, all with water and 50/30/20 amp electrical connections. For tent campers, we offer tranquil sites set between two creeks, offering a peaceful retreat close to the main camp.

For your equine companions, we provide 8 stalls and 8 corrals, ensuring their comfort and safety during your stay. The stalls are spacious and well-maintained, with a limestone sand base for optimum care.

Located east of the campground are the charming towns of Jonesville, Pennington Gap, Big Stone Gap, Norton, Wise, and Appalachia. To the west, explore Cumberland Gap, TN, Harrogate, TN, and Middlesboro, KY. Rock Bottom Horse Camp is not just a place to stay; it's an entry point to over 70 miles of backcountry riding and 85 miles of hiking trails, making it a perfect destination for outdoor adventure.

RVers can enjoy shady or open sites equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, and 30 or 50-amp electrical service, catering to all sizes of RVs and trailers. For those seeking a unique glamping experience, the campground provides deluxe cabins and yurts, each with outdoor spaces for a perfect blend of comfort and nature. Onsite amenities include sparkling pools, a playground, a jumping pillow, a camp store with essentials and souvenirs, a dog park, and a gathering yurt for groups, ensuring a fulfilling stay for all campers. 

The campground's prime location in Luray, Virginia, places campers in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley's attractions.
