Cloud Nine Camping in Hermosa is tucked inside the Black Hills National Forest on 33 private acres, surrounded by public land on three sides. It’s peaceful, scenic, and just a mile off the highway—so you can unplug without going totally off-grid.
Don’t want to haul your rig? Rent one of the on-site campers, fully set up with water, electric, and dumping services—just show up and relax. Hiking trails start right from camp, and the forested setting is perfect for wildlife watching, stargazing, or just hanging out by the firepit.
When you’re ready to explore, take a scenic drive through the towering granite tunnels of Needles Highway, cool off with a swim at Hippie Hole Waterfall, or venture underground at Jewel Cave National Monument, one of the longest cave systems in the world. - Guests may check-in as early as 4:00 PM in our lodging sites and 2:00pm for our RV sites.
- Guests must check-in by 9pm. If it will be later that 9pm please let management know (if checking in past 10pm, you MUST be as quiet as possible.)
- Average time for the darkness to settle in is 9pm in the summer.

Cancellation Policy

- 100% refund until 14 days prior to check-in.
- 50% percent refund 7 days prior, then 6 days prior the reservation is no longer refundable.
- All refund calculations exclude the RoverPass service fees and credit card processing, which are non-refundable.
