Cypress Campground & RV Park
Winter Haven, Florida
197 RV Sites
Situated 2.3 miles from the entrance to Legoland Florida in Winter Haven, Cypress Campground and RV Park occupies a prime position in central Florida's theme park corridor—providing a well-equipped, full-hookup camping option with resort amenities for families visiting Legoland, Peppa Pig Theme Park, and the broader Polk County attraction landscape south of Orlando. The campground's combination of themed-park proximity and on-site recreation infrastructure makes it one of the more comprehensive family camping options in the greater Winter Haven area.
Full hookup sites with water, sewer, electrical service, Wi-Fi, and cable television accommodate big rigs and smaller RVs alike, and shaded site positions provide meaningful cover during central Florida's warm and sunny months. A heated pool, complimentary mini-golf, a clubhouse with billiards tables, and pickleball courts give guests on-property recreation options that extend the campground experience beyond the RV sites themselves. A private entrance to an adjacent Walmart provides an unusually convenient on-site grocery and supply access that eliminates the logistical friction of restocking during multi-day stays—a practical feature consistently noted by guests arriving with full kitchens in their RVs.
Central Florida's ridge and lake country defines the natural landscape surrounding Winter Haven—a topography of sandy hills and numerous interconnected lakes that gives Polk County its distinctive lake-dotted character and supports an outdoor recreation culture built around freshwater fishing, paddling, and wildlife observation. The chain of lakes surrounding Winter Haven provides fishing access for largemouth bass and speckled perch, and Cypress Gardens—one of Florida's original theme parks, now incorporated into the Legoland property—overlooks Lake Eloise from manicured grounds that preserve some of the area's historic botanical landscape.
Legoland Florida, built on the former Cypress Gardens site, and the adjacent Peppa Pig Theme Park provide family-oriented themed entertainment within a short drive of the campground that represents the primary draw for most visitors to the Winter Haven area. Baytree Golf Club provides a challenging course option for adults seeking recreation away from the themed park environment, and the broader Polk County dining and retail landscape supports evenings out for families looking to vary their itinerary across a multi-day stay in the Winter Haven area.
Cypress Campground and RV Park is open year-round, with Florida's mild climate supporting comfortable camping across all seasons. Winter is a popular period for seasonal RV residents who establish longer stays in the campground's favorable central Florida climate, while summer and spring break bring peak family demand tied to Legoland visits. Advance reservations are recommended for spring break weeks and summer holiday weekends, when the combination of theme park traffic and limited Winter Haven campground capacity creates competitive booking conditions throughout the area. The campground's unique combination of theme park proximity, big-rig-friendly full hookups, heated pool, free mini-golf, and the private Walmart entrance make it one of the most logistically convenient and amenity-rich family camping options available in central Florida's competitive Polk County campground market.
