Tawas River RV Park

100 RV Sites

Tawas River RV Park in Tawas City, Michigan, offers 100 RV sites along the Tawas River near Lake Huron's Saginaw Bay, with 30 and 50-amp service and rigs accepted to 42 feet. Full-hookup back-in, water-and-electric back-in, and water-and-electric pull-through categories join a boat ramp, beach, library, and game room. One hundred sites run in back-in full hookup, water-and-electric back-in, and water-and-electric pull-through categories, carrying water, sewer, and electric where noted on 30 and 50-amp, sized to 42 feet. Check which category you are booking — not every site carries sewer. A laundry, restrooms, showers, and RV storage handle the practical side. A boat ramp gives direct river access for boating, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing, with a beach on the property and a pond and lake nearby. A library, game room, walking trails, pavilion, and horseshoes fill the grounds, with planned activities through the season. Pets are welcome. The setting is what distinguishes it. Tawas City sits in Iosco County on the western shore of Saginaw Bay, and the park occupies the Tawas River's final miles before it reaches the bay — the riparian and estuarine transition that makes this one of Michigan's most productive areas for fishing and birding. Tawas Point State Park's lighthouse and the migratory bird traffic through the point are both close. Summer is decisively the season in northeast lower Michigan, with fall color and the fishing runs extending demand. Reserve well ahead for July and August.

Driftwood Beach Resort

20 RV Sites, 3 Cabins, 10 Tent Sites, 2 Cottages, 2 Lodges

Driftwood Beach Resort in Clifford, ON, offers 20 RV sites, 7 cabin, cottage, and lodge rentals, and 10 tent sites, with room for rigs up to 38 feet. Sites come in two types: North Country serviced RV sites with water and electric, and Lighthouse Cove unserviced sites. There's no sewer at the site, so plan on the on-site dump station, and confirm the amp rating on your site when you book, since service here is lighter than a modern coach typically expects. Each site has a fire pit and picnic table. The grounds are gated, with laundry, a bathhouse with showers, a general store, firewood, and propane exchange. The resort cottages are park models built to CSA standards rather than traditional cabins. Pets are welcome, with a dog park. A beach, boat ramp, water park, recreation center, library, ball field, sport courts, horseshoes, walking trails, and a playground fill the property, with swimming, fishing, hiking, biking, and birding on the lake. Clifford sits on the spring-fed water of Lakelet Lake in Wellington County, in genuine Ontario cottage country within driving distance of Kitchener-Waterloo and Guelph. Rates for sites, cottages, and tent spots are on the booking page. The Ontario summer season books early.

Campgrounds-R-Us

It all began in 2011, when our owner Mike Constine decided to turn a once gravel pit into a private lake and housing development. After touring the country with his family for years, camping at campsites large and small, Mike had a thought to bring that experience to families close to home. A place to camp, to swim, to enjoy the sunshine and one another making memories around campfires and fireflies. Out of this dream, Campgrounds-R-Us was born. Over a decade later, we continue to grow and add more activities every season. We offer everything from swimming and fishing to volleyball, a bounce pad for the kids, and miles of nature trails to hike, bike or take explore by horseback. Every Friday and Saturday night, we have a large community campfire where campers can connect with the owners, sharing tales of the road and trading tall tales under a canopy of stars with S’Mores in hand. We welcome you to our campground. We believe in making family memories, and treat you like family when you are here.

Ogemaw County Fair

69 RV Sites

Ogemaw County Fairgrounds in West Branch, Michigan, offers 69 RV sites with water and electric on 30 and 50-amp service, sized for rigs to 60 feet, in northern lower Michigan. This is well-priced fairgrounds camping with genuine community character, serving both fair week and a season that runs well beyond it. Sixty-nine back-in sites carry water and electric on 30 or 50-amp, sized to 60 feet — note there are no sewer hookups at the sites, though a dump station is on site. Group sites and rustic spots supplement the hookup sites, giving tent campers basic fire-and-nature infrastructure without the utility overhead. Restrooms, showers, and WiFi handle the practical side. Pets are welcome. On-site facilities are practical rather than elaborate: a playground for families and the open fairgrounds themselves, which give guests considerably more room than a conventional campground layout. The pricing reflects the format, and for travelers who want space and simplicity over programming, that trade works well. West Branch sits in Ogemaw County in northern lower Michigan, with the Rifle River's fishing and natural recreation close by. The county fair itself, including the Antique Village, is the anchor event of the season and draws RV-equipped families from across the region. Availability tracks the fair calendar closely. Fair week fills the grounds and books out well in advance, while the rest of the season generally offers easy availability at a lower rate. Check the fair schedule before planning a stay — it is the single biggest factor in what you will find here.

Willow Lake Campground & RV Park

28 RV Sites, 4 Cabins, 1 Cottage

Willow Lake Campground & RV Park in Woodstock, Ontario, offers 28 RV sites and five cabin and cottage units in Oxford County, with 30 and 50-amp service and rigs accepted to 90 feet. Back-in, pull-through, and premium pull-through categories sit behind a gated entrance, with an outdoor pool, mini-golf, and a game room on an owner-operated family property. Twenty-eight sites run in 30-amp back-ins, 30-amp pull-throughs, 30/50-amp pull-throughs, and premium 30/50 pull-throughs, all carrying water, sewer, and electric, sized to 90 feet, with fire pits and picnic tables. Five cabins and cottages serve guests without a rig. A general store, laundry, restrooms, showers, and firewood handle the practical side, with WiFi throughout and a gated entrance controlling access. Pets are welcome. Woodstock sits in Oxford County between London and Hamilton, in the heart of southwestern Ontario's dairy country. The Highway 401 corridor is close, and Oxford County — Canada's Dairy Capital and the most productive dairy county in the country — gives the surrounding landscape its agricultural character. Silent Valley Cottage & RV Resort

9 RV Sites, 2 Cabins, 18 Tent Sites

Silent Valley Cottage and RV Resort in West Grey, Ontario, offers 9 full-hookup RV sites, two cabins, and 18 tent sites across 400 forested acres, with 30-amp service and rigs accepted to 40 feet behind a gated entrance. Voyageur full service and partial service categories join an outdoor pool, beach, disc golf course, and jumping pillow. Nine back-in sites run in Voyageur full service and Voyageur partial service categories, carrying water, sewer, and electric where noted, sized to 40 feet, with fire pits and picnic tables. Confirm your tier, as the partial service category does not carry the full hookup set. One thing to check: service is 30-amp, so a rig wired for heavier draw will need an adapter. Two cabins and 18 tent sites round out the lodging. A general store, laundry, dump station, restrooms, and showers handle the practical side. The resort operates from Victoria Day through Thanksgiving. An outdoor pool and beach anchor the summer, with a lake for swimming and fishing. A disc golf course, jumping pillow, recreation center, playground, volleyball, horseshoes, and picnicking fill the rest, with planned activities through the season and a golf course nearby. Pets are welcome. Four hundred acres for nine RV sites is a remarkable ratio — this is genuine mature hardwood and conifer forest with a small resort inside it, and the quiet is what the name promises and what guests come back for. Natural ponds and a large spring-fed lake sit on the property. Grey County's countryside puts the Bruce Peninsula, Owen Sound, and Blue Mountain within reach. The season is short. Reserve well ahead for July and August.

Leisure Lake Cottage & RV Resort

Leisure Lake Cottage and RV Resort in Kingsville, Ontario, provides a lakefront family camping and cottage resort on Lake Erie's north shore in Essex County, positioned at the heart of Canada's southernmost wine and agricultural region where the lake's moderating climate produces the viticultural conditions that have made the surrounding Pelee Island and Lake Erie North Shore wine appellation Ontario's warmest and most distinctly Mediterranean-influenced wine country. Kingsville's position at the same latitude as northern California and the southern edges of France creates the seasonal climate that supports not only wine grapes but also the tomato greenhouses and agricultural diversity that distinguish Essex County from every other Ontario county in agricultural character and landscape. The resort's facility delivers complete cottage-resort camping for families and adult couples: a gated entrance, full hookup sites, cottage rentals, a beach on Lake Erie, an outdoor pool and splash pad, mini-golf, paddle boats, a game room, craft room, planned activities and entertainment, basketball, shuffleboard, horseshoes, volleyball, playground, pavilion, a general store, propane fills, laundry, showers, bathrooms, dump station, and Wi-Fi provide organized recreation for multi-day family vacation stays with the cottage alternative that makes the resort accessible to non-RV guests. The fishing on Lake Erie—one of the most productive walleye fisheries in the world—provides the adult outdoor recreation that supplements the resort's family activity programming. Point Pelee National Park, approximately 15 minutes west of Kingsville, is Canada's most famous bird migration concentration point—the southernmost tip of the Canadian mainland juts into Lake Erie in a funnel that concentrates spring and fall bird migrants in numbers that make Point Pelee one of North America's premier birding destinations, drawing ornithologists and amateur birders from across the continent each May when the warbler migration peaks in numbers that can produce 30 or more warbler species in a single morning walk through the park's Carolinian forest ecosystem. The park's beach and the boardwalk through the point's marsh habitat provide year-round natural area access beyond the migration spectacle. The Lake Erie North Shore wine appellation's wineries between Leamington and Amherstburg produce the most distinctly warm-climate Ontario wines—the region's heat accumulation and the lake's late-season thermal moderation allow the full ripening of cabernet franc, merlot, and the ice wine grapes that freeze reliably in the November cold snaps that Lake Erie's shoreline delivers after the growing season's exceptional warmth. Pelee Island Winery's mainland operation in Kingsville and the island winery accessible by ferry from Leamington represent the wine trail anchor experiences that make a Kingsville-area stay particularly rewarding for wine-oriented camping guests. Leisure Lake Cottage and RV Resort operates seasonally from spring through fall in Essex County's Great Lakes climate, with the summer season from late June through Labour Day delivering the resort's peak family activity and the Point Pelee beach's Lake Erie swimming conditions that the shallow lake's rapid warming makes available in July and August. The spring May Point Pelee birding migration is the region's most distinctive seasonal spectacle, drawing nature-focused guests in numbers that fill Essex County accommodation during the peak warbler weeks, and the fall harvest season's winery programming extends meaningful tourism visitation into October in one of Ontario's most underappreciated regional tourism corridors.

Northern Sites Campground

1 RV Site

Northern Sites Campground in Beaverton, Michigan, offers 1 primitive RV site on the Cedar River, with rigs accepted to 30 feet. A sandy beach, general store, dump station, showers, and pavilion serve a river camping property in Gladwin County's inland lake country. The site is primitive, sized to 30 feet, with a fire pit and picnic table. Plan accordingly — no hookups at the site, so arrive fully self-contained with water and power, and use the dump station and bathhouse. The 30-foot cap rules out most modern coaches; this suits vans, small trailers, and truck campers. Contact the campground about additional site availability and any serviced options. A general store, dump station, restrooms, showers, firewood, and a pavilion handle the practical side. The river and a sandy beach carry the recreation, with swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, water sports, and biking. Pets are welcome. A primitive site on a river with a real bathhouse and store is a specific and increasingly rare combination — you get the quiet of unserviced camping without giving up hot water or coffee. Gladwin County sits in the heart of Michigan's Lower Peninsula, a region of wooded uplands, small lakes, and an extensive snowmobile and ORV trail network that has served outdoor travelers for generations. The Cedar and Tittabawassee Rivers, Wixom Lake, and the Gladwin Field Trial Area are all close, with Houghton and Higgins Lakes an easy drive north. Summer is the season in central Michigan, with fall color and snowmobile season drawing distinct off-peak waves. Reserve ahead for July and August, and arrive self-contained.
