Cozy Oaks RV Resort is a family place. The park's roots were planted soon after Bud May decided to escape the city and take his family camping in the summer of 1968. Their ensuing love of the camping experience in the relaxing countryside of Western Pennsylvania led to the purchase of an old farm and its conversion into what is now one of the region's most beautiful family campgrounds. From humble beginnings, Cozy Oaks RV Resort, has been solely owned and operated by the May family since 1975.

For 44 years, the Wehr family has been accommodating guests that come to enjoy the bountiful offerings of family recreation and leisure attractions offered at the jewel of Western Pennsylvania, Moraine State Park. In 1975, Robert Wehr and his wife, June, purchased a nearly 60-acre rolling agricultural land tract along Moraine State Park's southwestern border that featured immediate access to Lake Arthur. Robert designed the park with a variety of camp areas and greenways. Today, Bear Run Campground is a 300-site full-service camping park with a heated pool, lake access, kids gem mine, and many more outdoor activities.
