Hidden Lakes Family Campground in Montville, OH, offers 28 RV sites and 4 tent sites, with 20, 30, and 50-amp service.
Sites come in five categories — back-in 30-amp, back-in 50/30-amp, lakeside back-in 50/30-amp, pull-thru 30-amp, and pull-thru 50/30-amp — each carrying water and electric with a fire pit and picnic table. There's no sewer at the site, so plan on the on-site dump station. Maximum rig length isn't reliably published, so call with your dimensions before booking. The campground is gated, with a bathhouse with showers, a general store, firewood, and a recreation center. Check-in runs 2pm to 6pm with a noon checkout, and late arrivals can't always be accommodated and may incur an additional fee. Pets are welcome.
An outdoor pool, a beach, a pavilion, a playground, basketball, horseshoes, and natural lakes fill the grounds, with swimming, fishing, kayaking, boating, stargazing, and themed event weekends through the season.

Q: When is check in and check out?
- A: Check in 2pm – 6pm. Check out is Noon.
- We are a gated community.
- Late check-in’s may not always be able to be accommodated, incur an additional fee, and must be pre-arranged and confirmed with the Welcome Center.
Q: How old do you need to be to make a reservation?
- A: 21 years of age.
Q: Can I bring outside firewood?
- A: No.
- Firewood may be purchased in the Welcome Center.
Q: What does it mean to be a Dark Park?
- A: In the interest of stargazing, we use only flame bulbs so as not to negatively impact your night vision.
- We encourage flashlights for night walks and if campsite lighting above campfire light is desired, we ask that it not be harsh white light for the comfort of your neighbors.
Q: What is your policy on alcohol?
- A: We allow alcohol to be enjoyed responsibly at your campsite.
- No public drunkenness or disorderly behavior.
- In order to maintain safety, we do not tolerate open containers on vehicles (including golf carts) or public drunkenness.
Q: Will I be able to relax and get sleep at your campground?
- A: Yes.
- Quiet time is 10pm.
- To maintain our quiet, peaceful setting, no radios or noise emitting devices are allowed outside of your camping unit.
- Volume within camping units must be at levels that are not heard outside of the unit.
- Disrespectful and inconsiderate behavior towards fellow campers is not allowed.
Q: Do you allow pets?
- A: We are pet friendly.
- We expect your pets to be friendly too.
- We do not allow vicious breeds.
- Pets must be controlled at all times and cleaned up after.
- Do not stake pets to the ground or tie to trees, utility poles, or picnic tables.
- You may attach a lead to your camper or vehicle.
- Pets may not be left unattended.
Q: Can I take a tour of the park?
- A: Yes.
- Making an appointment will assure we are ready to assist you upon your arrival but we also accept walk-ins during camping season business hours.
Q: Can I come to your park just to swim in the pool or fish in the lakes?
- A: Yes.
- A day pass is $10 per person and you may enjoy the amenities of the park.
Q: Do you need a fishing license?
- A: No.
- The lakes are private.
Q: Do you allow boats?
- A: We allow small boats in the fishing lakes.
- This includes row boats, kayaks and canoes.
- We allow electric motors.
- We do not allow gas motors.
- Please keep boats on your site when not in use.
Q: Do you sell (insert item here) in your store?
- A: We stock many products to serve your needs.
- We have available ice, firewood, beverages, snacks, s’mores fixin’s, ice cream, bait and more.
Q: What is your refund policy?
- A: We suggest you be sure of your travel plans before booking as there are no refunds.
- You may choose to purchase booking insurance upon checkout which will allow you to move your stay to another date within the same camping season if requested within the time frame before arrival.

Rules
Check-in Procedure
- Check-in between 2pm and 6pm on day of arrival.
- Check-out before noon on the day of departure.
- A credit card must be placed on file at check-in.
- Late check-in's may not always be able to be accommodated, incur an additional fee, and must be pre-arranged and confirmed with the Welcome Center.
- While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement.
Policy
Please note these major policies before deciding to stay with us. Violations will result in removal from the property.
- No outside firewood allowed. Firewood is available at the Welcome Center if desired.
- No speeding - 5mph everywhere on the property.
- No broadcasting music (radios, devices, etc).
- No public intoxication or drug use.
- Do not put trash in fire rings. Trash, debris, left on site will result in credit card being charged for cleanup.
Disclaimer
- Park management is not responsible for loss, damages or claims to property of guests due to fire, theft, accident or any other cause.
- The management also reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.

Damages
- Causing damage/leaving garbage will result in your credit card being charged.
Use of Campsite
- Limit one RV and one tent, or two tents per site.
- Limit of one (1) picnic table per campsite.
- Do not move fire rings.
- Nothing to be tied to or attached to trees in any way.
Fishing
- No fishing in the swimming lake - no swimming in the fishing lake.
- Fishing is catch and release only.
Vehicles
- Only licensed drivers are allowed to operate vehicles.
Quiet Hours
- Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 10 a.m.
- No disturbing the peace at all times.
Fireworks
- Fireworks are prohibited.
Illegal Drugs
- Drug use is strictly prohibited.
Reservation
You must be 21 years of age to reserve a site and camping group must include someone 21 years of age on site.
Alcohol
- Alcohol may be used responsibly at your Campsite.
- Appearing to be intoxicated will result in removal from the property.
Children
- Parents are responsible at all times for their children’s safety and behavior.
- Please supervise small children in showers and restrooms, and do not allow children to play in the roadway.
- No one under 16yrs of age allowed in the swimming lake or pool without an adult guardian.
Pets
- We do not allow vicious breeds.
- Animals must be kept on a leash at all times and may not be left unattended at the campsite.
- Animals may not be tethered to utility fixtures, picnic tables, trees or fences.
- Animal waste must be picked up by the pet owner.
- No animals allowed in the pool area.
Restroom and Showers
- Due to Board of Health Regulations, animals and the washing of dishes are prohibited in the restrooms.
Garbage
- Help us stay clean by depositing all garbage in the dumpsters located throughout the Campground.
- Garbage may not be placed in fire rings.
- If you leave litter/garbage at your site or in your fire ring, your credit card will be charged accordingly.
Trees
- Nothing attached to a tree or harming a tree.
- Healthy and well-maintained trees pose a natural hazard of falling debris, such as leaves and branches, especially during windy and/or extreme weather conditions.
- We do not assume responsibility for these natural hazards or for any property damage, injury or other circumstances that may result.
- Please take this into consideration when placing your Camping Unit and while enjoying Park.
- If a tree makes you feel unsafe, please let the management know.
Ohio Law
- Under Ohio law, there is no liability for an injury to or death of a camper or visitor to this campground if that injury or death results from the risk inherent to camping. Inherent risks to camping include, but are not limited to, the risk of injury inherent to land features, equipment, animals, or the negligent actions of the camper or visitor.
- You are assuming the risk of participating in camping.
Waiver of Liability
- I am aware that a campground is a natural habitat with many obvious and hidden dangers that make this a potentially hazardous activity consistent with other outdoor activities and the possible reckless conduct of other people.
- These risks include but are not limited to death, severe injury or minor injury to body parts, sunburn, heat exposure, poison ivy, animal and insect bites, weather-related incidences (flood, tornado, etc.), and water-related activities including drowning.
- I further understand that these activities that I participate in may be remote from available medical assistance, and nonetheless agree to proceed with such activities despite the possible absence of medical assistance.
- I also understand that any equipment provided for my protection may be inadequate in preventing injury.
- By signing this Acknowledgement, I am voluntarily participating with knowledge of the dangers involved and hereby agree to accept any and all risks to property damage, personal injury or death.
- In consideration of my participation in these activities, I hereby release Hidden Lakes Family Campground, LLC, and any of its shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, heirs, successors, volunteers and assigns for any present and future claims, including negligence, for property damage, personal injury or death arising from my participating in these activities.
- This property is privately owned.
- We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
Cancellation Policy
STRICT
If the guest cancels at least 1 week before your check-in day and time, they will receive a 50% refund (minus Spot2Nite convenience or resort fees). If the guest cancels within 1 week before check-in, there will be no refund.
