Here at the Badlands Hotel & Campground (BHC), we have been helping make Badlands and Black Hills vacation memories for generations of families for decades. Open from April through mid-October each year, BHC is a small hotel and full-service campground featuring an onsite restaurant, outdoor pool, convenience store, bathhouses, guest laundry, Wi-Fi, and more.

BHC joined the Blue Water Hospitality family of destinations in September 2023. We are excited to continue making vacation memories that last a lifetime.

Offering 53 spacious sites, our park caters to all—from a night's stay to a long-term visit. Each site is equipped with full 30/50 amp water and sewer services, ensuring your stay is as comfortable as it is memorable.

Situated at the heart of the sandhills in Merna, Nebraska, we're conveniently positioned near the crossroads of Highway 2 and 92. Welcome to Split Rock Park Campground in Garretson, South Dakota, a scenic spot where nature and history blend seamlessly. Located on the northwestern edge of Garretson, our park overlooks a charming waterfall created by Split Rock Creek, offering a picturesque entrance to this quaint town. With both RV and tent camping sites, we cater to all types of outdoor enthusiasts from May 1st to October 31st.

Our campground is a haven for nature lovers. Enjoy a range of outdoor activities, including kayaking and canoeing with our convenient boat launch areas, or relax in the small swimming area north of the dam. Fishing enthusiasts will appreciate our abundant fishing spots. For family fun, explore our playground and the unique bridges that span the creek.
